Dig it 😊 I like how Les incorporates Primus riffs into the middle of the Bastard Jazz Jams . It sparks memories o plenty ! 😊

Mike Dillon is probably the most talented musician that walks this earth. That night, and that show were absolute fire. It was billed for 2 AM and the line went for blocks and blocks and they didn’t open the doors until three and I think it was getting light when we left that morning.nothing like jazz vest to bring out the best of the best

That was the best! I saw The Cult down the street the night before, walked over to be maybe 6th in line. Magical evening.

A funk jam band, not jazz.

It’s called Bastard Jazz, not jazzy jazz. Mike D and Stanton both have jazz backgrounds. There are obviously fun overtones but regardless of genres this is excellent music.

I like that les made his $ with primus and then just did what he wants. Fearless frog brigade/Lennon claypool delirium and everything in between. Dudes the best. Prob the greatest as of now as a bass player. Like everything he does.

Vinny is one of my all time favorite drummers, but was hard to see him after the show the way he's been letting himself go as of late.
@kylegood262211 ай бұрын
Yo what is with that??? I hadn't seen anything of him recently until I saw this same show from an angle showing him. I was like "his technique and kit looks like Vinnie - but that can't be him!" He was huge. I hope he's ok. He's one of the few guys out there that still plays things that make you go "I have never heard anything played like that!"

Great jam! Pushing the creative envelop with a tight, danceable groove should, and could, go viral - this is the future of mainstream music. I thought the fade-to-black ending was particularly cool.

I don't think it's a Jam but a concept between musicians of the highest level. When music has no commercial purpose it becomes a unique event and should not be filmed or recorded because it is not intended for entertainment purposes. I was moved listening to these heroes of mine play together and I hope they get my applause and my gratitude for having taught me so much in music without ever having met ...

What in the fat Vinnie was this? Sorry. but it looks like he ( Vinnie) was there to cash the check. That was poor playing on his part. He is also the one driving it, so everyone else will fall down to his level. I don't care if he is one of the best all time ( and he is).,.. this was horrible., period. I'm sure Vinnie would admit it, if he didn't eat the words first
@viviencharrier1984 Жыл бұрын
Well that is also poor writing on les part... he used to be much more inventive ... here we have pretty much the same riff for an hour...quite hard to be fresh and inspired the whole show behind the drums...
@killmoreturtles Жыл бұрын
@@viviencharrier1984 True. But i'd say the drums are the leader; especially here. LIke the say, you're only as good as your drummer. If Vinnie is not enjoying it, then Les is less ( had to do it) likely to be into it, too. both are there for a check though
