Yeah, I've been fishing locally around Bristol area last couple weeks and it's loaded with short tog. Been going thru a ton of crabs but I've been getting some good 18-20 inch tog each time. I'll probably see you out there one of these days.

Yes, I’m gonna head out this week. I’m pretty sure there should be some nice tog by now I did go in the war river I haven’t uploaded the video yet probably this week and it was really all shorts. I caught one keeper and I was happy with that. Because we just bought a house my wife and I and Coventry and I promised the real estate agent some fish. Well he got it but I got nothing. 😂

as someone who kayak fished for a bit myself, I try and stay clear of all kayaks when im on my boat. People dont realize how dangerous it is to fly by them smh...stay safe out there!!

Great video as always. Do you have a preference on type of tog jig? I've been using the Tsunami glow jigs but have had the hook straighten out a few times on some good fish.

Nice job on the fish. You sure know how to find the big ones I fished two days this week and got nothing but short sea bass and tog. I was on the west side off the bay. The seabass were thick again and I ran out of crabs and squid in no time. The tog were even hitting squid on a jig, never saw that before

@@DarrylBlackBlackfishFishing Yea, weather might not be good. I'm retired and gave up fishing weekends, to many crazy's on the water and the ramp. Don't bother trying outside the bay, on Thursday the ocean was nasty with large waves, but the inside was flat. I call the Newport side the east side, the west bay is Wickford, Narragansett side, to me.

@@KP11520 I fillet them I cut them into smaller pieces and deep fry them. I start with mustard and hot sauce as a base then I use cornmeal and seasonings. I actually have in one of my videos exactly how I do it but if you would like the seasonings I could let you know they come out incredible.

I can barely see one neighbor through the trees on one side everywhere else is nothing but miles of woods. The homeowner said he shoots deer from his bathroom window all the time with a rifle. 😂.

So we have a tenant for a month and a half. I’ll probably be hunting up in Arcadia. It’s only 20 minutes away from the house. But still over a hr from here.

Yes that’s exactly where it is. They stock it the most in Rhode Island. I try all over and none can compare to this pond. Pretty much limited out every time I’ve been there.

Hi Daryl when setting up your blind. Try holding your feet on the corners of one side at a time and pull the center hub out and then repeat. There are videos that’s how I learned that little trick. Good luck.

Great job on the tog. I've been out twice and had trouble getting past the sea bass. They were so thick that they came to the surface like blue fish after the jig with a crab.

@@stevenl34 I never had the camera hit or catch anything. Unlike the tube that seemed to pick junk up very easily. But exactly. I had no idea how many fish were under my kayak. Literally 100s. Next time Ive got a new tube and lead core to control the depth. Should be fun and make a great video watching the fight from the perspective of the fish. Thanks for watching 😁

Great job on video Darryl. They sell a clip that holds egg sinkers to adjust the depth of your worm, maybe better then lead line. I have some out in my kayak. Tight lines buddy.

@@Gramps55 thanks. I’ve already bought the lead line. I watched two guys I fish with catch one after another using lead line. I think the control of the depth is key to why. It’s interesting. Every 10 yards it’s a different color and trolls 5 to 7 feet. And it wasn’t a bad price. Hopefully the next video is how well it catches fish and not another one of how many didn’t bite 😆. @@Gramps55 😂. Actually I have it on a counter also. I use to hunt and I will be hunting again this year. Buying a house in a fantastic location for white tail. I always said if they have a grenade season, I’m in 😂. My point is I will take advantage of anything I can to help me catch fish. This location is phenomenal as you could see in the video. It’s just loaded with striped bass and that pretty much last till the end of the season although the bigger ones will head out to Block Island shortly, you’ll still be able to catch stripers months to come

Yeah, I’ve already bought the Leadline. I do like the fact that I can kind of control the depth every 10 yards. It goes down about 5 to 7 feet. I think it says so about 35 yards out I should be at a perfect depth, but I will be taking my camera and running it to see how it’s swimming and how is the depth thanks again

No, I think the tube was too short. It wasn’t swimming very well. I’ve got hits on it in the past, but I have to look at this video. I could see why a lot of fish would swim right by it and it’s hard to manipulate it so that it swims correctly I’ve already picked up a better tube and lead core line to get it closer to the bottom. @@AmbitiousAngler yes definitely the earlier the better. Although I caught that one about 8 am or so. They were really nailing them earlier and it slowed right down. I know they move but it was really hot in the back of the reef close to the red can. But always do good around seal rock if not. Also pick up some fish bites. Put on before the worm. You won’t be sorry. Let me know how you make out.

Thank you so much. Yes the tube and worm is killing it. A good friend also told me to add fish bites first then the worm. Incase scup eat your worm you still have something with sent. Funny. I went for scup afterwards and they attacked the fish bites. So they definitely attracts fish.

I’ll tell you. There’s a great bunch of guys that fish in kayaks out front. They are all on the same channel and let you know where the fishing is best. That’s exactly what happened this morning. And I couldn’t get a slot fish last few times out. All too big. But these guys knew I love strippers on the grill and hooked me up. Hope to see you out there. Some huge fish out front now.

I didn’t know either. I kinda knew as soon as he got close but as soon as he said anything I knew. Caught me off guard. I didn’t have my camera on. Had to pull out my phone.

You know I can’t even get to them 😂. I’m killing the monsters with the eels. When I changed to Albie snacks the size went down a lot. But that day the wind got really bad and I couldn’t go back to that spot. I knew if I could have I would have cleaned up. And I would probably have been able to use the flutter spoon. I’ve got a really nice setup for just that and slow pitch jigging. Hopefully I’ll get a chance this week to use it. Friday looks like a great day so far. Thanks for watching and commenting.
