Eggs are amazing superfoods! Oatmeal is for horses.

Try differentiating between the various forms of oatmeal, rather than demonizing it altogether. The sugar- filled, artificially flavored, instant kind that comes in envelopes is indeed unhealthy. But plain organic rolled or steel cut oatmeal is mimimally processed and is a great source of fiber and nutrients, especially if paired with some healthy fats and berries. While eggs are great, you shouldn't advise everyone to eat them every morning for the rest of their lives either, as that could pose health risks for many people. It's stupid to compare oatmeal to eggs anyway. You really shouldn't be giving blanket health advice just because you are wearing scrubs and a stethoscope.

Our ancestors didn’t eat period. They were scrapping to get whatever they could. This is a stupid argument. They were literally trying to survive on whatever they could. They went days without food. I bet if they had oatmeal they would have at the hell out of it. The issue is energy imbalance. Too much food isn’t good no matter what we eat. The body knows how to regulate itself way more than what we intellectually do.

My husband had a heart attack 3 weeks ago and had angioplasty and 2 stents placed in the LAD. He had little damage to his heart. He has since modified his diet and is exercising. He is on a slew of pharmaceuticals and will be stopping the statins soon. He is also taking Optolipid, Omega 3, vitamin D3 and Ubiquinol. He had planned to lose weight and change his diet in 3 months when he retires, but that got moved up because of his heart attack and is now making his health a priority.

The fact is egg contain 186 cholesterol same if you eat meat actually, and have high protein that your body actually no need that much protein. High Colesterol can cause many diseases, plants have no colestetol, and have safe protein that your body need. Oatmeal can decrease high blood pressure.

Thanks for this really excellent presentation. I'm English. Consequently I inhabit "The Land of the NHS" ! Frankly, you would still be looked at quizzically by the vast majority of our cardiologists, lipidologists and GPs over here. They would continue to tell me "Beware of internet doctors who say don't worry about high LDL....They are emphatically wrong...and the science is proven" etc etc. Clearly it's confusing for Joe Public, but it does seem that the science is definitely not "job done" as some of them would have us believe!
@dr.jackwolfson69063 күн бұрын
Old habits for these MDs are hard to break. But I never say don't work about high LDL particles. I just say don't take statins and find out the WHY your LDL is high.
@stevelanghorn14073 күн бұрын
@@dr.jackwolfson6906 Our NHS is bursting at the seams with mounting pressures. No wonder our GPs here just keep throwing Statins at us. It's not that they don't care. It's just they're over-stretched and simply haven't time for "nuance". They smile, follow protocol and have to prioritise the sick over the not-so-sick...and the "worried well". And there are more of the latter than ever in human history!

Steel cut oats are horrible for your health. I went to the grocery store to get some and had an accident on my bike. I had a head injury and broke a finger.

This video popped up due to the algorithm. Your advice is extremely dangerous. I am 70 years old and after my last physical my doctor suggested a statin drug because my cholesterol had increased. I said before I get on a statin I want the coronary calcium scan. It was MY idea to get the scan, and not my doctor’s. My calcium score was over 600, but more concerning is that the scan revealed a thoracic aortal aneurysm of 4.2 cm. The scan cost me $50. Please remove this video from your channel. Your advice could literally result in someone’s premature death.

The body does not make too much. The body is not clearing cholesterol and LDL particles. That needs to be fixed.
@Malcolm-Achtman3 күн бұрын
@@dr.jackwolfson6906 Or, in the case of a low-carb lean mass hyper-responder, the body is using LDL (which can be very high) as a vehicle to transport energy. Does that need to be fixed? Probably not.

I think the part about not getting a calcium scan is dangerous and just plan wrong. I may or may not have been asymptimatic. But, I paid a relatively low fee, $150 I think, and got the scan. It told me I was in some sort of possible danger….a score of 444. It was the first indication that I may or may not be in trouble. Without the scan, I would have known nothing. So, like any logical person, I am going to go see a board certified cardiologist at a teaching hospital and see what is up. Westerm medicine is your friend!

His point proves having a medical license doesn’t stop you from spewing nonsense and lies if he thinks there’s money to be made . It is doctors like this that is the cause of mistrust of the medical industry. Same thing with OxyContin when doctors realised it was dangerous they kept prescribing it and kept getting kickbacks. This man makes money by saying the whole world is lying to me you must listen to me only I will tell you the truth if you pay me

I agree about eggs but steel cut oats are good and even regular as long as they don't have any additional additives like sugar, or sugary stuff in general, idk. I don't see whats wrong, add blueberries, a few raisins, some apple, some honey/syrup and cinnamon and I don't see what's wrong with that. Moderation is the key. Plus if you do your research on history they did eat oatmeal in Europe.
