I was digging ginseng couple years ago, I was about 4 miles deep into the woods and once sun started to go down I hear 3 loud knocks a ridge over from where I was it went dead silent until I got all the way out. But didn’t deter me from digging. If whatever it was planned on attacking me I didn’t care it wasn’t messing up my making money lol. Maybe it was trying to show me where a good patch of seng was😂 I live in NC on the reservation. But my dad been all over these mountains and not once heard or seen anything bad he said. First time I ever heard knocking like that tho. Maybe it was Bigfoot.

There's not monsters, the most dangerous things are bears, humans, pumas, wolves, coyotes, rattlesnakes, copperheads, and anything with rabies. 2. Just because there isn't monsters doesn't mean go outside in the middle of night, you could get hurt. If you do, please bring a knife, gun, at least one flashlight, and potentially a dog or fellow human.
