2025 may very well see substantial new car deflation. If CDJR lowers their prices aggressively, and there is talk they will, it will force everyone else to lower them as well.

rather than mark their assets, i.e. loans, to the market value....which would cook their books, banks frequently choose to "extend and pretend" to kick the problem down the road

I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Claudia A Brandon is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. If you want anything “lumpy” used like a Range Rover or anything big engine,..fly to the UK and import it. Car Tax ( annual tax to use the road) and compulsory Insurance to drive it, is getting out of hand cost wise. Therefore, the lumpy stuff does look cheap. I wouldn’t mind a Cayenne or Tourareg, same car different badge

I'm on my fourth Mazda through no fault of their own. I drive a considerable amount putting 20 to 30,000 miles a year on my vehicle so I tend to trade them in when they reach the 100,000 Mark or around there. I have never ever had a day of trouble with any of my Mazdas including my first one which is a 2000 Mazda Protege and I got it and it was 12 years old it was amazing I've always had an amazing luck with Mazda and I will continue to be a loyal supporter

I always giggle that the US say ' Maarzda ' & we Aussies say 'Mazz da' .. I'm the happy customer of a 2 week old CX-60 P50e Evolve Vision Luxury PHEV (in Soul Crystal Red of course!), Am absolutely lovin it so far !! - & all the different drive modes are really versatile to manage your charging regimes, & play with fuel economy's. We also got the optional tow-kit & electric brake kit. Towing out 1.6 T Caravan on our camping holiday away last week was just a breezy dream !

I was planning to buy a new 4 Runner this year, but due to Toyota jacking customers around with ridiculous prices and getting rid of the V6 engine I'm continuing to drive my 2011 toyota 4 runner with 250,000 miles. I'm glad I found Car Edge to comparison shop different makes and models. My two local Toyota dealerships asked me to put down $1000 to just be able to see the 1958 Land Cruiser. As your dad says, I told them I was going to use my high quality pair of shoes and walk away.

I’ve been shopping , I hate shopping for cars but I’m dragging my feet and just evaluating my options because the deals suck as well as interest rates. I had a Hyundai dealer say they had a 6% interest rate on 740 credit score for a new car!! Lincoln was better at 4.9%. Mitsubishi had .9 for December. Used car rates are ridiculous 8-11% Can we talk about used car deals? The market is up there too and dealers willing to sit for months on one and won’t make a deal with you on a 5 year vehicle. I feel like I am missing something..

The dealers are not budging on vehicle prices if very little and giving consumers jack shit for high quality trade ins. Greed has taken over the mindset instead of moving inventory.

Maximum house mortgage in Japan is 35 years. There is no such thing as 100 years house mortgage...not only in Japan, but in the world. Interest rate is around 0.7 to 1.2 percent. When buying a car, interest rate in Japan is normally 1.5 to 3%. Car insurance cost is about $25〜35 a month. I used to live in the states 20 years ago, but it seems everything has changed dramatically since then. Jeep grand Cherokee used to cost around $30000, but I heard its more than doubled now...

@@CarEdgeLive Well, how about the fact that you’re clearly selling my name, email and telephone number every time I click see price or want other info. That’s a real nice by clicking here disclaimer. The whole process feels slimy. “Free tool kit” but we sell your info might be more accurate.

Well. As a German, I never figured out how car dealerships make money. Always bought used cars. Until I moved to Canada in 2005. I’m not a rich guy. Always needed financing. But 0% financing, 18,000 CAD discount on a Ford truck or just 19,000 CAD for a Dodge Journey plus a set winter tires. Every year, they paid off my car loan to get me into a new car. Again 0% financing. Big discounts. Left 2019 Canada to live in Panama. Used cars again. No payments and no calls from dealerships! 😅

$1,000 on a 72 month loan is $72,000. At the end of the loan the car could lose around 60% of it's value ie $28,800 after it's paid off. Instead, buy a beater for cash, and invest in a Roth IRA and taxable brokerage account and for 72 months. IF you average 8% return per year over the 72 months, you'll end up with $92,000. I'd rather have $92,000 in investments after 6 years instead of $0 in investments and a chunk of metal that depreciated 60%.

I was just in France and saw lots of really nice cars , hybrids and EVs, that were in the $20-$30K range. Why doesn’t the US have these?
@tsaultie4 сағат бұрын
its probably US standards. The main reason for super light weight/smaller gas tanks and the crappy turbo's is the mpg requirements. The engines are also much smaller

I purchased a 2024 CX90 in Oct for 31k. It had almost 32k miles. I had a huge down payment and null credit score. I need ro refi to get rhe interest rate lower. The only rhing I really hate is not being able to see over the front end. I seem to have an issue with depth perception. Not particularly fond of the black color, but beggars cant be choosers. The dealership was amazing. I was looking at the new cx5. I honestly thought a 3rd row was out of reach and they made it happen to my surprise. Zero. Regrets. I even got to ride in the wayback on Christmas, it was great. Getting out though, we all laughed at me. 56 and overweight. ZOOM ZOOM!! 😅

The largest ownership costs for a vehicle are depreciation and insurance. People seem to forget about that. You get zero equity from insurance, and depreciation is the main cause of negative equity. The current auto market is best compared to flushing money down the toilet.

Zack it's not "Enabling" to give people Loans they promise to pay for, it's called Personal Freedom & Liberty & they dont just give Loans to anyone. It's wrong to blame Financial Institutions for people Choices. The Freedom to make choices isn't about only allowing choices that end in success. It's up to each Individual to be Personally Responsible for their choices. Zack you need to lose the Mini Tyrant/Nanny State way of thinking & realize individuals making good & bad decisions is a part of life & theres no idea or plan you can create to fix this issue without taking away people's Liberties.
