@3931Kong Yes, its air pressure. they reduce the fact by making the elevator air tight so the effect is reduced. :)

@nanderv We are talking about an elevator,... not a car or a bike! Can you imagine the pressure in your ears? At that hight and that speed it should be really painfull. I experienced a 45 floor high in a regular elevator and it was hurting my ears!
