I created a similar program on an Apple II + in 1984. At 3 frames per second. 64k of RAM and 8 bits at 1 MHz. Did this before BattleZone came out. Now it is so easy to do. Can’t believe I found this on YT. Nice job!

Thanks Arnes, I'm sorry but I will have to steal all your code as I have my V4SA and I am itching to get coding. I grin as I was a similar age to you when I started coding, but that was in the late 1970s and the school only had one computer (Z380 research machine) and my first assembler was CESIL. I was hocked then, as you are. CESIL only had one register so the 68080 will be a dream to code. Also thanks to the Apollo team, the V4SA is just ... perfect!

Looks good but the framerate is not that great. 30fps is the threshold to keep... this looks more like 15fps if not less. Unplayable. EDIT: LOL... I didn't even notice the FPS counter at the top left.. I just saw it after rewatching.. If you guys can get this to run in 30fps, it would be a miracle for sure.

Great! But how your system can handle alternative to polygon 3d graphics like voxels? And I don't mean voxel space level maps like Commanche or Delta Force but voxel sprites like used in Pc games Savage Warriors, Blade Runner, Hexplore or Lands of Lore 3... even 1996 alpha build of Shadow Warrior had some enemies voxelised, amiga could deal with it or its "only possible on pc"? Imagine, exclusive apollo/amiga ports of Build 3d games but enchanced (like Duke 3d Saturn/N64) witch more complex map lighting and higher detailed voxel enemies, its niche in retro gaming your system can fullfil. I would surely buy your product for this kind of ports solely. Best wishes

So what is the estimated native "game application" performance without RTG. Something like Playstation 1.5 but at 640x480 resolution in 16 bit, 6000+ polys per frame with two textures per polygon at 30 fps ?

Could it be that you posted without reading the description of the video? Arne clearly said that this is not a full game but only a draft to try our the new monsters designed by his friend Kevin ... and to see how the Apollo Dungeon Engine can look with them.... You did no read it, did you?

Wirklich erstaunliche Features. Ich überlege schon eine Weile meinen 600er derart zu AGA kompatibel zu machen. Aber weshalb bekommt ihr kein Video mit halbwegs brauchbarem Ton und Bild hin? :( Das stärkt nicht unbedingt den Glauben an die Qualität der Produkte .. Ausserdem wären umfangreiche Demo-Videos notwendig, damit man auch mal ausreichend begutachten kann, wie gut welche AGA-Spiele laufen, bevor man für 600€(!) die Katze im Sack kauft; so wenigstens 30 Top-Titel, damit es einigermaßen singifikant ist und nicht zu cherry-picked aussieht.
