Distorted sound output on both optical and 3.5 mm input. possibly overdriven but no option to resolve that on my Samsung TV, so off to the charity shop.

Bought these as a replacement set for my elderly mum and we cannot get them to work. We have followed instructions to the letter, tried all 3 connectors and the base stays red and while the headphones have a green light on them (to indicate fully charged) the power button stays red. I have been in touch with customer services in the UK which didn't find a solution. Any other ideas here please? From the comment by Geemarc below it would suggest the base is not detecting an audio source - are they faulty given none of the connectors are working?

Hi @LisaMason-gz7gx Thank you for having chosen the CL7400 Opti! If the led on the base stays RED, it means that the main base could not connect to the audio source. The power led on the headset won’t switch to GREEN as long as the connection between the main base and the audio source has not been made. Do you have the possibility of sending us pictures showing the different connections that you have tried? ([email protected]) Do you have the possibility of testing the CL7400 with a computer?

The light on my base unit just stays red, and if I turn the headphones on, the light on those stays red too. I've tried holding down the 'pair' button on the base unit, which makes the base unit light flash green, but it won't connect to the headphones. Does this mean there's a fault with the unit or am I doing something wrong?

Hi @BenFurness, Thank you for having chosen the CL7400 Opti! If the light on the base & headphone stay red, it’s because the audio source is not detected. So the connection from the base to the TV is not correct. You can try to use the optical cable, it’s the easiest way to connect this product 00:34

Is there any way to reset balance and tone? I cant set both sides to normal sound.

Thank you for having chosen the CL7400 Opti Marijus! If you wish to reset the balance and tone (as well as the volume), you need to follow the steps described on page 8 of your user guide. You should only be able to hear one single beep sound once the balance and tone levels are set back to 0. If you hear two, this means those levels are set either to maximum or minimum. @@marijusmb9004 It is not possible to change the tone on one single earphone, any change made to the tone settings will automatically be applied to both earphones. However concerning the balance control, you can have different settings one each earphone. All you need to do, is to make sure that the switch located at the back of your CL7400’s main base is on the “ON” position, which corresponds to the “Stereo” mode. If it is, then you can set the balance to different levels on each earphone using the side buttons.

Thoughtless design comfort was not thought about ,ear cups are too small making them very uncomfortable to wear. They press on the ear rather than encompass. Mine now just gather dust behind the TV. Shame really as the electronics work well.

Ear cups are too small cannot be worn with hearing aids as the cup sandwiches them between ear and head, The cups need to be bigger to make them comfortable, I contacted the manufacturer and was told my information would be passed on and that’s the last I heard. The cups press on the ear rather than encompass it very badly designed, bit like giving someone a mobility car with only three wheels useless.

WHen it works, this is a fabulous, life-changing product.....HOWEVER, I am finding mine drops its connection to the base unit and pairing it is proving to be impossible!

havent got dementia, cant understand user guide . never had trouble with phones before. it needs simple examampled directions on adjusting ringer volume . entering phonebook info .
