im also setting up my very first bullet journal. its a b5 grid one that i got on amazon. im keeping daily weekly and monthly stuff in there but for anything longer than that like goal setting and stuff im putting it on my 2025 notion

as for videos. PWMs that are esp. long, i try to split them watch half and then half later, but then i forget what i watched. lol but i told you a little about my life as to why that is. but i just love PWMs more than hauls which i dont always watch hauls bcs im basically on a no-dont-you-spend-ever budget. it is easier to break those up tho. all that say, just glad youre doing this, period. how ever and when ever and what ever is best for *you*.

i really loved this kit too. i like the way you create your scenes and what a good idea to use the clear sticker paper empty sticker paper, whatevs… to sort of map things out. great tip i am SUCH a morning person that people hate me. lol and my fave day of the week is - believe it or not - mondays! double hate. but its such a fresh start and i like to get my day over with. otoh that means by 2 in the afternoon im wiped out. early dinner at 330ish and bedtime at about 8pm. 😊

I still use headers, but really only need 7. But the way you felt about headers is how I feel about icons! Everyone was like ugh, they can go... and I love emojis, so obviously I LOVE using icons to mark everything. 😂

I’m trying to figure out the best method for doing a Destash because like you. I don’t use all of the items from the kits.

I am always envious when I watch videos with this type of decorative planning! I have no idea how you ladies figure out where to put your stickers, especially all the little tiny ones. I haven't consistently started yet but I have a Laurel Denise Portrait and several layouts of Happy Planner. Classic teacher, Big Teacher, classic lined vertical, and Big dashboard. I kept finding Happy Planners on sale and thought maybe if I keep staring at different layouts I'd be inspired. 😂

I struggled with this one too and like I like it, but I feel like I could have done better. But this turned out so beautiful. It's interesting that you didn't pull in the the alcohol inks, so this kit leans really into the blue.

this is so pretty. it was one of my fave kits this year and i love the scenes at the top of the page this time! i always look forward to your spreads. loved hearing the baby too. ❤ i think i mentioned before that ive been feeling blah with my spreads for awhile but dont really want to give it up altogether tho i keep saying next year i dont think i wanna do this anymore. ive thought of just a notebook journal sort of, like tay, where i would set it up for the month and only touch it once a week or so. but since i also use (and decorate somewhat) a functional planner as well, not sure if i want to bother that either. just all around overwhelmed these days… okay now im rambling….

I love that scene you have at the top. Especially with how you spaced the date scripts freeform. Regarding journaling, you don't have to journal every day. I guess the question is do you want to journal about your day like a diary? Or do you just want to journal to play with stickers or when you want to digest a situation/emotion/day? Or to commemorate a memory? Because the thing with journaling is that you shouldn't force yourself to do it because you feel obligated to. Like there is a concept called junk journaling where you just grab random ephemera and just create something. So you can always just journal when you want to play with stickers or create some sort of artwork or feel the need to and just add in the date for the spread or keep an index in the front if you don't want to date everything or just not because it's your journal. I currently bullet journal and I leave room in the back of my notebook for just random spreads when the moment strikes that I want to write more about an event or dedicate a page to a memory. And it's taken me a long time to come to terms with it, but it doesn't always have to look pretty and you don't have to touch it every single day. I treat my book as a snapshot of my life at the point in time and if at that point in time I wasn't feeling it, I just wasn't and that's okay. I know that bullet journaling as the daily planner aspect to it, but the same applies to regular journaling.
