i installed this and got about 5-8mpg decrease in fuel economy. I read that since our vehicles have a BPV, it recirculates the air and passes it through the MAF so it could mess with the tune adding more fuel than needed. I uninstalled mine and going to drive for another month to see if the computer hopefully recalibrates. It took about a month and a half until I started to see my gas mileage significantly go down. Are you having this issue as well?
@cs92lx13 күн бұрын
I didn't notice any decrease in gas mileage. However adding a heavier wheel and tire combination did cost me about 3mpg loss in highway driving.

I really like that Maverick engine cover. I’m having trouble finding that. Can you provide anymore information on where you got that?
@cs92lx13 күн бұрын
One of my subscribers sold me this one. It was my understanding that he purchased it straight from Ford.

I enjoyed this video! I will be performing my first oil change soon on the 2.0 ecoboost. Just curious, if there is any specific reason, you didn’t use the full synthetic Motorcraft oil.
@cs92lx13 күн бұрын
The oil recommended by Ford was the semi synthetic. I use full synthetic now.

if it doesn't have a manual 6 speed I ain't buying it and all wheel drive.
@cs92lx13 күн бұрын
I understand your passion for the manual transmission and in the past I would have agreed. But the automatic transmissions of today are faster and more fuel efficient than the manual. As I get older and drive in alot of traffic they just make sense.

Hi. I’m working on installing these struts. The driver side hood piece turned out fine I think. I am struggling with the passenger side. It doesn’t sit correctly. Can anyone help please. I have a couple of photos but I don’t know how to post them.
@cs92lxАй бұрын
I'm not sure if you got yours fixed yet. But I'm looking at mine, and the driver side and passenger side are exactly the same fit.

Did you ever get an alignment?
@cs92lxАй бұрын
Yes they said it was still in spec except the camber but since lowered there's no adjustment. They still charged me $120 for my trouble. Nevertheless it rides straight and true. Tire wear is normal.

God Bless you in your time of need. I Signed my dad into Hospice last September. He passed away December 7th. He also loved my little "Trucklette" as he called it. Mine is the same color as yours, and is as customized as yours. We just went different ways, which is what is so special about the maverick. Once again God Bless you my friend.

@@cs92lx So you did such a good job at customizing your truck to the fact where it attracts a lot of attention. Of course in California, you could not leave that out on the street for too long. It's crazy here. What do you use to protect it to make sure you know it doesn't disappear.

Looks great. Did your rear eibach springs have a RL (rear left) and a RR (rear right) notation marked on them. You stated your springs had different part #s on them? I just did mine today and both my rear springs had the same part #s. Mine did have the RL and RR stamp on them. Thanks

Very cool and informative recap of your journey and as well as the channel pre maverick content to present. As for the track attack, I sadly have a prior commitment that evening so unfortunately i won’t be able to make this track attack. I know in years past you had a spring maverick meet up and one in the fall too. Maybe that’ll be the case this year and if so hopefully I can make that. Would love to meet you in person and talk maverick.

I would love to have your capri you had. When times were tough my car was a AMC hornet wagon. It wasn't a ford but when I sold it I helped pushed out of the drive for a profit when it didn't run. Ford has invited me to similar events and I never could go. If my ill wife is doing better we will be there. PS would put up a Wesleyan weslyian that I love your Scripture.

I love people that ridiculously lower their vehicles so every curb, pot hole, driveway can grab the front end and rip it apart. LOT of money spent on a low cost truck.
