A pity you had to rip up practically every vestige of the trees and vegetation along the N28. Ironically there is a bronze statue which was once surrounded by trees and is now in the middle of a totally leveled landscape with all greenery removed. The statue has a plaque attached and it says: "This figure holds his arms aloft holding birds in his hands. He represents our concern for and the desire to nurture our natural environment . Cad a Dhainfaimid feast gan adhmaid.?" And how are animals going to cross this motorway? Is there any provision for crossing points for them? I used to travel on the N28 every day to work. Anytime I have to go in that direction I now go by a different route as it saddens me to see that woodland destroyed.

I clean veterans headstones in America. You can spray a product called D2 Biological Solution on the stone to clean with a soft bristle brush. After rinsing cover stone again in D2 and leave it. In several weeks as the Solution Pentrates the stone it will be stain free.😅

Fantastic work. Cork is growing so much, we'll have the ringaskiddy motorway, the macroom bypass done and hopefully we can get the cork to limerick sorted. All we need now is the Middleton to youghal sorted and some route to connect the ballincollig bypass onto the cork to limerick motorway and cork will be flying.

Midleton to Youghal shold have been done by reactivating the existing railway. HGVs make a small percentage on that stretch, most are cars, commuting to/from work. The railway would have solved that quickly, cheaply and efficiently.

My ancestor was: *Chandler, John,* was member of the house of burgesses from Elizabeth City in November, 1645, and 1647, and a justice of that county in 1652. In 1636 obtained a grant for 1,000 acres in Elizabeth City county for importing his wife and nineteen other persons. About 1639 he purchased Newport News from the Gookins. In 1639 there is a joint bond from him and Samuel Chandler, merchant of London. Subsequently he sold Newport News to Captain Benedict Stafford, from whom it came to William Digges. John Chandler was the youngest surviving immigrant to Jamestown Colony having come at age 10 aboard Capt Thomas Willoughby's ship the Hercules in 1610.

@@Boburto No, if you have a look again, that road leads down to the Carr's Hill Interchange where big roundabouts will be. It is in the planning since 2001. Whatever inconvenience you may have endured, it is nothing compared to that of the home/land owners on the path of the route options.
