If you want a firewall, you can use the packages firewalld, and plasma-firewall (assuming you are on kde for plasma-firewall).

@@dampintellect is there anything similar to how windows works where when a new app needs firewall privileges it would pop up? Or do I manually need to allow ports depending on what I'm doing .

@@jtmLtra Linux doesn't function on a per app basis when it comes to the firewall, just a per port basis. firewalld will not prompt/pop something up when you when a port needs to be opened. You will need to open any ports that you want open for your applications, and close them if they are no longer needed you can leave them open as well, and just have all ports you aren't using closed. I can probably make a video about firewalls soon.

Yes it's not hard, but it's also not necessary to learn the OS. And it can be a pain if you are new with only one PC to work off of. If anyone wants to attempt a manual install I'd recommend practicing in a virtual machine first.

@@dampintellect work in a DC and have to install so many flavors of linux it isn't funny, did it with the install script a few times but after that i just started giving people a KVM and usb drive to do it themselves once it just became tedious (maybe 10-15 installs later)

The audio setup is a work in progress. In the future I can turn up the gain on my physical setup, I was running it around 15% gain, which worked for stuff like discord (Discord also uses mono audio), but something like 35% would make me a bit louder by default for recording. I edited my audio into both the left and right channel, as my setup is incomplete and only records right channel audio right now. Also i've found in OBS you can set your microphone input to mono and this fixes my issue if you have a audio interface like mine.

Could be a variety of reasons, RSR is intended to boost frame rate in GPU bound scenarios by lowering the in game resolution and up scaling to your monitors resolution to remove load from your GPU. In my case here I lowered my games resolution to 1920x1080, and Up scaled to 2560x1440. It is possible that your pairing of PC components is CPU bound (or other component) rather than GPU bound, which could result in a lower frame rate. It would be helpful to know your PC specs.
