Great video. No offense but I think you adjusted it the wrong way. If you set it to the left, (as if loosening the handle) as you would for a lighter operator, it gives less impact absorption., Crank that bad boy to the right (as if tightening the handle) and it gets firmer but absorbs more impact for a bigger operator such as yourself. Setting it too light results in the suspension constantly bottoming out which is painful. I realize this is a 4 year old video but people still come here to view it so the comment is relevant. Just sayin.

I don't have any info on that model but checkout www.acmoc.org. It is an organization of antique caterpillar machinery owners club and I am sure someone on there can answer that question.

Thank you for this. Did the same thing to my Branson FEL bucket. I'll have Jeramy Reber from @jeramyreberpuredirt7873 straighten it out with his excavator next time he's out to do some land clearing and grading. Should be enough power/weight.

Excellent video. This can be used on the underside of vehicles in areas that use salt in the winter or in coastal regions once the vehicle begins to rust. The phosphoric acid converts the red iron oxide into black ferric phosphate and stops the rusting process in it's tracks. After using the Exrust solution and it is dry, use a vehicle undercoating and you won't have to worry further. Just ensure you do this yourself as I have seen dealerships do the worst job of undercoating vehicles. Literally, just holding a spray can in each hand and walking down the middle of the vehicle while spraying. No care to do a proper job. Also, I love your soundtrack!

Hello, where is the serial number located on the 955K?
@PharmToFarm2 жыл бұрын
Should be on the right side just off of the instrument panel on the frame. It is a metal plate with the number stamped on it.

GREAT PRICELESS ADVICE from a man of many talents ~~ I was considering buying a 955K to dig an additional pond for my brother's birthday ~ I had a construction company including several pieces of heavy equipment back in the 1970s until the construction came to a screeching haul ~ lol ~ Now in the legal and hotel/casino business but still have the smells and hand's on working in my blood ~ Viewed many of your videos and surely you are a man of many talents ~ Thanks Again for your time & sharing - Jimbo / SC

This makes no sense. Potash and Potassium are the same thing. Potash IS you potassium source. Are you confusing "potash" with Phosphorus??? They at end you say "xx lbs of phosphorus or potassium". These are two different nutrients.

Thanks for the video!! Great job on the garden bed. I just built one almost just like it, myself. However, they said they'd have to order in corner pieces (yours was a ridge cap, you said). I'm not sure if that's what they said they had to order in at the building supply store, but I circumvented that issue by making my own corner pieces by cutting out smaller pieces of sheet metal roofing and bending them. They didn't hold a perfect 90 degree bend, but good enough. I had the metal someone gave me for free, had some old 2x4's Iand 1x6's bought fifteen years ago, had some used decking screws, so the only thing I had to buy was a steel cutting blade for my circular saw. I got a good one and it was $35. It worked fine. I was pleasantly surprised at how strong metal roofing is when it's vertical. The ridges provide a lot of strength. I filled mine with wood first, some small logs and then larger branches, then wood chips and leaves, then I will fill with my 'cream of the crop' compost I've been making up for a couple years. Black gold! I made my bed 3 ft. wide which feels about right. It's a great alternative to wood; I used to replace wooden boards every three to five years or so, such a pain and waste of time. And, as they rot they bend and the corners let in weeds which are almost impossible to get out completely. Yessiree, old sheet metal roofing is the way to go!

New Subscriber, In Australia we call them Drotts but this is the first really well-done explanation of all the stuff that usually gets forgotten, and it's so nice to see the experience that helps people out because a lot of this equipment still has productive lives in the right hands but there are a lot of people selling machines that really have serious issues and costly rebuilds needed. So thanks for taking the time to make this and I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Cheers From Garry from Australia

Next time drive your truck out from underneath, that way your not moving equipment over the rear quarter panel of your truck. And reverse to load .
