Remove the heads and see if any damage happen to the pistons. If no damage you can just replace the valves, spring and valve seals and be on your way if do lifters as well and delete the mds

i have the same code misfire on cyl 8 when engine tries to start it would crank and then stall out from no compression please help

Well here’s what I posted on the GC forums some of these have been answered and some I just figured out with some common sense but let me know if you see anything important here Im currently have a GC SRT with a blow motor. Im wondering what it would take to convert it into a TH. One of the main issue I'm having before pulling the trigger is knowing how I'm going to make this work. So ill tell you guys my train of thought and you guys can let me know if im on the right track. *Remember as you read this in my mind i plan on accomplishing this swap using a HC engine from a Chal/Char and put it into a GC SRT chassis.* Engine: Most importantly the engine. I want to know if i can use any HC engine as it would open more possibilities to source the engine at a lower price instead of only trying to find a TH engine. I figured i can use any hellcat crate / pulled motor for the engine. Engine obviously will come with the ECU & wiring harness (might need a track hawk wiring harness cause of the AWD system same thing for the ecu. Although i think i can use any hellcat ECU or the stock GC SRT 6.4 ECU that the car came with and reflash to a track hawk flash, you guys lmk. maybe this wont work due to having more pins/connectors due to the AWD system) 1.) Can i use any HC engine for the swap or will i specifically need one that came off a TH 2.) Will i need the TH wiring harness or any HC wiring harness will do. 3.) Will i need the TH ECU or will any HC ECU work (also lmk if i can use the stock 6.4 ECU that the 2017 GC SRT came with) Transmission: This is where im having the most difficulties understanding. I know the SRTs and THs are AWD 4x4 systems meaning i would have to source the TH transmission. My questions are so 1.) Can i keep the the AWD trans the GC SRT 6.4 version came with? 2.) If i cant keep the stock trans for the AWD 6.4 and i have to end up sourcing a TrackHawk Trans, will i also have to change the front axles/transfer case/drive shaft as well to the ones that come off the TrackHawk or can i keep the ones the SRT has? 3.) Relating to the engine. If i buy a HC engine off a char/chal will the bellhousing of the SRT trans (If viable) or the TrackHawk trans (if necessary) even line up and properly bolt up? (aka will the bellhousing line up with the char/chal engine if i end up sourcing one from one of those chassis or will i need an adapter plate to make it work) 3pt2.) If the engine off a hellcat charger/challenger do line up or i can make it work with an adapter plate, will i have any fitment issues with the transfer case fitment? (Aka does the bottom end of the engine of a HC char/chal differ from the TH bottom end to accommodate the transfer case? Accessories: these are simple but i want to know none the less 1.) Are the accessories on HC engine from a char/chal in different areas compared to the TH engine. Like the Alternator/oil cooler/AC/Coolant box/etc. Are they placed in different areas compared to the char/chal? (im worried about the ac lines, fuel lines, oil cooling lines, wiring harness, etc not being in the same place as the TH that would in turn cause me a headache trying to relocated lines or cables or having fitment issue in there) 2.) So far as accessories go these are the ones ive heard i would have to upgrade from the GC SRT to the TH ones: Radiator, Oil cooler, Fuel Pump, Exhaust. So far thats what i have. If there's anything else in terms of modules or accessories that i would need to make this TH swap on a 2017 GC SRT platform work lmk. 3.) Can the 2017 GC SRT UConnect Head unit be reflashed to the TH flash allowing me to cut cost and avoid buying a whole new head unit. Im scared of keeping the same one and the head unit think im still in a SRT and show SRT torque and HP numbers/settings and not the TH torque and HP numbers/settings since technically there wasnt any 2017 TH models out. If theres anything else im missing here please let me know! Also i know some parts are Index: TH: Trackhawk HC: Hellcat GC: Grand Cherokee Char/Chal: Charger/Challenger

What do you need help with? I’m still not 100% done with mine. I’ve been waiting on the fuel system for a few weeks but I can’t still drive it around. Hopefully I’ll get the fuel system soon to get it tuned.

I used automotive paint base / clear. Scuffed everything, then shot it. I believe I uploaded a video of it.

A lot of things can cause a valve spring to fail. My engine had 120k miles so I’m going to say it was just weak and worn. Yes I could have fixed it by replacing the spring but I wanted a blower set up, reason why I decided to do the hellcat swap.

It’s about the same amount of work but they do have a few things different.

The 6.4? I still have it but going to put a cam and ported heads then sell it

You and I both lol. I just ordered the fuel system so once I get that done then off to tune and then I’ll get some pulls and some races uploaded 🤙
