Like most have said, the more you do it. You develop a system and it here’s easier with each time💯

As a pop up owner, the more you do it the faster you get at it. But I will agree that it’s kind of a pain, especially during a heatwave in Texas at the end of your trip, so you’re tired and the heat is literally trying to kill you. Yeah. Eventually we’re going to sell ours and go to a regular camper just because of that experience. We both got really sick that day last year and put kind of a bad taste in our mouth for our pop up experience. We already found set up and putting it all up inside a pain, because everything has to be in its specific place like a puzzle every time you put it down. And so setting it up is just as annoying because you have to completely rearrange everything to be able to live in it. So last year’s heat wave was kind of a last straw. We still have our pop up now and have trips booked, so it doesn’t stop us. But we don’t want this forever, we want to make it a little easier in the future with a different type of camper.

Depends on the rain and brand. Water usually runs right off the canvas but sometimes people don't take care of the tops and they leak and cause inside ceiling damage I cover mine everytime I don't use It. It'd easier to put a pop up camper down then to roll up a tent and fit it in a small bag such a pain just tuck canvas and make sure no material hit the cables on the stage beams and your solid super easy the side beds slide in easy to there's no rush to the process slower you go safe you are on take down.

We enjoyed ours. I hated everything about setup and take down. We had a system but it was a chore. I certainly got better fuel mileage with it and could pull it with just about anything but I love the convenience of my fifth wheel.

Ours is 24 foot long when opened up. Lots of space, but man it's a pain to set up. I camp with my friend, who has a regular camper, and they are set up in like 10 minutes. We are setting up our camper for like 2 hours.

Really? That's crazy. I have the fleetowood williamsburg elite. Is very big. Had all the things. Inside stand up shower and toilet. Its actually bigger then we need. 2 bumb outs. 1 for kitchen and one for dinette. But it takes less than 15 mintes to pop-up and completely ready. My dad has an rv. It takes him 30 minutes just to level it. Then he has so many hookup and buttons. My family that have regular campers are alwasy the last the leave. Ours is down in Mayne 20 minutes and that's if we don't pack well. My dad loves our pop up so much, he's selling his rv. Is too much work. He's got a fleetwood Acadia on its way. Lol it's the biggest of them all. Lol

@@marikiemarie7622We have a large Jayco where the whole side slides out for the kitchen and dinette. Like your Fleetwood, we also have the standing shower and bathroom. It takes about 15-ish minutes to set up and about that to take down. I personally don't want a travel trailer or large rv, but that's me. I like pop-ups.
@marikiemarie7622

@LadyWolf6692 same. I think the only reason I do want an RV, is for those times when storms get bad. High winds etc. It can ruin a trip in a pop-up camper. Especially the wind. It's just a piece of mind thing I guess. I think I perfer pop-up for winter camping because they heat well and where I go don't get windy or storms in winter. And rv for summer camping because our summers get to 115° and alot of tje times no shade trees. Ugh 115 is too hot for a pop-up camper. It won't stay cool at all. Buy I definitely have more fun with a pop-up.

You must be doing something wrong. I have one and I can set it up in 10-15mins. Hardest part is the door if the ground is not properly levelled.

These are great but they started making them too big. I have the original 8 foot pop up and it has a tiny footprint. If I were to get something any bigger I would just buy a camper. That looks close to 12 feet long 😢

They are great and they can be pretty big. But the cost difference is what sells me. My pop up is fantastic. Super cozy. We have 2 boxer dogs and 2 teens so need a big one. We got the fleetwood williamsburg for only 5k. The equivalent rv was 34k. No way.

I have been one for 18 years! After 9 years I moved to part-time, but it’s based on seniority and is awarded quarterly so I could probably have gone part-time sooner. Denver allows us to go part-time, but other bases don’t have part-time availability
