This song hurts me to the core .. I lost my husband 8 yrs ago after 51 yrs of marriage .. There's no one in this world to replace him so I ve decided to go it alone for the rest of my life until I join him. When he was on his last few weeks he played this song for me ..."If tomorrow never comes " and it really broke me down ..I play lots of songs we loved and I cry most nights .

Reba you're such a good soul! We need more people like you in the industry to spread the word of God! I cried so hard listening to this song thinking about the shape our world is in since they took God out of our Country!! USA needs to be given back to God! This was God's Country and now it's filled with such evil, heartache and people are terrified!! Keep on reaching humanity. We all need it!! The world needs it!! God bless you Reba!! ❤❤❤

That is probably a real story, eventually the real love will fade, God and time will remove that love for the ex, that is life, only God love doesn't go away🙏🏻🙏🏻

Esta hermosa canción me la dedico mi pareja por diez años, cuando el falleció (Mayo/2023) ¡Se convirtió en un himno para mi! Aun lloro y lloro al escucharla, siento a mi John junto a mi y sin parar de amarme nunca!

She told him, "You'll forget in time" As the years went slowly by She still preyed upon his mind He kept her picture on his wall Went half crazy now and then But he still loved her through it all Hoping she'd come back again Kept some letters by his bed Dated 1962 He had underlined in red Every single, I love you I went to see him just today Oh, but I didn't see no tears All dressed up to go away First time I'd seen him smile in years He stopped loving her today They placed a wreath upon his door And soon they'll carry him away He stopped loving her today You know, she came to see him one last time (ooh) Ah, and we all wondered if she would (ooh) And it kept runnin' through my mind (ooh) "This time he's over her for good" He stopped loving her today They placed a wreath upon his door And soon they'll carry him away He stopped loving her today Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Bobby Braddock / Curly Putman

I’m a metal fan as well (particularly thrash), but my 2nd favorite genre is classic country. This is one of the best songs ever!

This is real country and not the fake wanna be crap it is today. They've wrecked Rock. They've wrecked Country. They've wrecked Soul. They've replaced it all with meaningless garbage because that is what's selling. Why? Because soulless human beings were told by corporations that garbage is good. Some of us still remember songs like these back when artists had real talent and writing ability. Kids today will never know the beauty of a well crafted song or what great music is.

Good question. But if you expect any human to be perfect before you accept the truth of what they try to express. You will never find any empathy for others.
