Why did you get black flagged? I didn't see anything obvious.
@tajo98
@tajo98 Ай бұрын
it was not me. Another car in front spun off and got stuck on the grass. (Kinda weird. I didn't see yellow flag) I thought the flag was for me as well but later I remembered that they typically point the black flag at me if it was meant for me. Now I checked my video and you can see a rescue truck and a car through my passenger side window, above the side mirror at 9:27.

Any concerns with high oil/ coolant temps? Just picked up my N, and I am on the fence about adding an oil cooler for track use but wondering if it is truly necessary?
@tajo98
@tajo98 8 ай бұрын
if you hit the redline on every shift, then the oil temp may go over 280F. (depends on ambient but 80F+ in general) I typically manage the rpm right at 6000 or below.

@tajo98

Track addict can start/stop GoPro recording. Then Racerender can stitch the Track addict data and video together. If GoPro was controlled with Track addict, then sync is very good. Sometimes GoPro disconnected and start/stop recording manually, the I have to sync the data and the video manually in Racerender.

Making improvements with each lap 👍 nice to see the DCT in action. How did the auto shift (up & down) perform in your opinion?✌️
@tajo98
@tajo98 11 ай бұрын
It works great in both manual mode and auto mode. Super fast without any hesitation to up/down shift. I typically use manual mode on track to manage the coolant temp and fuel. Auto shift in N mode uses the rpm all the way to redline. Works great but it does bring the coolant/oil temp up. (I've seen 270F+ oil temp in hot summer day)

Cool video! Did you delete the resonator or something? Hopefully it's still stock and you just taped an external mic near the tail pipes? Believe or not, the resonator is there for a very good reason. Engineers don't won't drone or rasp at any rpm, just quality tone everywhere in the powerband, and this oem exhaust is one of the best, so aftermarket exhausts will be a waste of money, just like "intakes" do nothing but lightened your wallet, just need a higher flow re-usable drop in filter

@@tajo98 Haha! That's what I was hoping you were doing. What tire brand and size? I always recommend Kumho V730 to my students for heavy fwd or awd cars that are camber challenged. Yokos, Falkens, and Stones' get too hot and wear out too quick! Since D Street rules allow +/- 1 diameter size I would go with a 18x8 and 235/40/18 because Kumhos run narrow. Normally a 8 inch wide wheel should have a 225 to support the tire better.
