Sorry, G cast, but most of this stuff was NOT Maxwell & Halsted vicinity. Believe me, I know.

Bought my first cabretta leather coat there Just east of Halsted on Maxwell St. The shop owner wanted $80. I kept walking out. Got it for $40. I was 15 y/o then. Simpler days 1963. "Smokey Joe's" was at the corner of Maxwell & Halsted. Kennedy was still in the WH.

Good day, We spoke last week regarding the purchasing of videos and you said to give timestamps of required segments…. This is the particular video we were after to start with but being as it’s such a short video, we were wondering if we could purchase the whole thing? Or chop it up into parts for Pond5 uploading purposes if necessary? Look forward to hearing from you 😊

I’m pretty sure on the UK version has a different start up phrase on the west version that you have it says welcome to the show but on the UK one it says welcome to the live show

The first minute and a half are definitely Maxwell street. The rest of it looks like Lincoln park and old town which was pretty much like it is today.. Maxwell street was extraordinary.. The place of the Haymarket riots, great history wiped out.. Now it's a sanitized nothing of any importance. Close by , University of Illinois looks like a psychiatric research facility and the students are probably clueless about what once stood as one of Americas most exciting and important historical landmark communities.

Maxwell street polish should be more famous than the Chicago style hot dog, my parents owned a hot dog stand and I always went for polish 🤘🤪🤘

This was fun to watch. My guess is that this is from 1960. There is a 1960 Chevrolet Impala at the start, and later also a 1960 Rambler Classic, and a 1960 Ford.

Hi G Cast. Is there someone I may speak to about the possibility of licensing this footage? How may I contact you?
@GCast2 ай бұрын
Hi, I use Pond5 for licensing, what timeframes are you interested in?
@elizabethwestrate36542 ай бұрын
@@GCast Thanks! I am potentially interested in three clips from this video ("1960's Trip to Florence - Rome - Italian Towns Vintage Footage") for use in an independent documentary. The cathedral from 01:33-01:46, the statues from 02:13-02:18 and the columns from 03:22-03:28. Would you let me know how to find this material and cost info over on Pond5, or how to contact you directly?

Hello, I’m now just waiting for Pond5 to approve those clips. Thanks

Hello again, should I also reach out to Pond5, if you have a specific contact there? Or will you let me know when a review link is ready? (Happy Thanksgiving!)

Hello, I’ll let you know once Pond5 approves the clips and post the link here. Also, just for reference, the link to my page is also in the description. I believe that link gives you a discount if you’re not already registered. Have a great Thanksgiving

Beautiful bride! Everyone looks so happy and dressed so nice! Was this a double wedding? I saw a lady in blue dress with long blue veil on church steps. I thought it was an attendant but she had long veil and I wondered if she was another bride.
