You called a code blue for sepsis? Your hospital didn’t have rapid response? In our hospital, code blue is only if a patient is pulseless or not breathing. For acute mental status change/sepsis we would call an RRT.

Hey I'm a soon to be PA interested in psych. It seems like a lot of the job postings I've found around my area are for NPs rather than PAs. Do you see this being a barrier to employment now or in the future? Or do you think PAs with psych experience could still apply to many of these jobs and be seriously considered?

@@Mereship this will be long, so I apologize in advance! Personally, I've always had a huge soft spot for kids and I love kids. In high school, I was able to get an elective where I was a teacher's aide at an elementary school. I genuinely enjoyed it! A few years later, my aunt who's a CNA worked at an elderly assisted living facility. They were hiring for personal care aides and she knew about my interest in healthcare, so she helped pull me in. After about 9 months of working there, I moved out of town for school. I applied to retail and fast food jobs, but I no longer qualified. So I began applying for nonprofits, home health aide jobs, medication aide, etc. The group home that I work at is catered specifically towards survivors of sex human trafficking and csec. So I talked about my passion for ending human trafficking, my interests in working with youths, and my past experiences working as a teacher's aide and in an elderly assisted living facility.

Not liking that this doctor was so critical of the healthcare workers and the health providers at the hospital in Kenya that he visited. We all understand that it's very possible that these healthcare providers don't have the necessary training and quality of education that one may receive in the U.S. It's not their fault. I'm sure they're making the best of a limited education and funding. I'm not even Kenyan and I'm offended by the manner in which he kept remarking on their lack of expertise and lack of resources. He made it a point to insinuate that he was superior to them.

Can you point out where you regarded him as hypercritical? Frankly I have not received this video the same way.

After completing the video I must agree with you that his demeanor is unprofessional. He does not appear to understand how insensitive he is being towards the Kenyan people and his viewers. For example, he discusses impoverished people with broken limbs “crawling around, crawling into CT scanners” without understanding the emotional significance that picture paints. He’s jocular and inappropriate.

I am so happy writing this article here, I am here to talk about the wonderful and most safe cure for HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS. I was positive about the deadly Virus called Herpes simplex virus and I lost hope completely because I was rejected even by my close friends. I searched online to know and inquire about cure for Herpes & ALS and I saw testimony on how Dr Osas cure so many people from the Herpes Virus Disease, HIV, Fibroid, Cancer, Hepatitis, etc so I decided to contact the great herbalist because I know that nature has the power to heal everything. I contacted him to know how he can help me and he told me never to worry that he will help me with the natural herbs from God! He sent me the herbal medicine through DHL, I used the medicine as he instructed me (Morning & Evening) and I was cured! it’s really like a dream but I’m so happy! That’s the reason I decided to also let many people know about this. you can also contact Dr Osas via: Email:[email protected] or WhatApps/Call +2349154653305,,,>>...>>>

Is radiology something someone can pursue in after graduating from a university instead of a radiology focused program? I recently been interested in radiology but I am not sure if it's a field I can pursue in for medical school or if I have to earn another BS for radiology.

To become a radiologist you would attend undergrad (4 years), then medical school (4 years), and after that complete a radiology residency (6 years). Hope that helps!

I'm glad that you said you don't like physics! lol I felt that my counselor was trying to scare me by saying, you know there is physics on the boards. It wasn't my favorite science subject in undergrad, but I'm glad to know it's also not required for a radiologist to be in love with physics! haha I appreciate and respect physics, so I do not mind learning what I need to know for what I want to do!

Great video; this young doctor is a gem! For me, the best point he made was also the simplest; instead of focusing on better medicine for treating cancer we should implement what we already know as a preventative and that’s lifestyle. That theme was part of his presentation for COVID as well; prevention is best so be diligent in applying what is known to protect yourself.
