Yes, Delay for sure. Random filter modulation. I particularly like the way Sloth introduces movement.

Think of a quantizer like rounding in math. If you have for example have the number 3.7, then the quantizer would notch it up to a 4. Simmilarily, if you have a randomly generated note, it may be between lets say an E and an F, and the quantizer would notch it up to an F. Thus, with a quantizer, you can generate melodies, even with completely random signals.
