My son took his own life 8 months ago. I can’t stop crying. He had everything going for him and his health took a bad turn and he never recovered. I blame myself for not knowing how to help. I feel Shaun’s pain. 🙏🏽🕊✝️

I was there too, with my 2 younger sons...so powerful and so organic as I saw the Maryland show as well, and this Chicago performance was just soooo powerful. Both were, but this was immense for me and my boys.

I've never seen Depeche Mode in concert. Judging from your video John, it looks like a heck of a show.

It was great. I wish I would have seen them in their prime when they played more of the 80s material, but they did a great set!

I was there and I cried my eyes out. My son took his life in 2011. His favorite band at that time was Disturbed, who also speaks to mental health. And yet, he shot himself. I heard your speech. And then I cried my eyes out when you did "Illusion". I had to leave shortly after because I just couldn't. After that, my heart was broken, again. But that's my pain. I thank you so much for an honest experience. Not just to this, but the whole concert. This is the second I've been to because you're real. You don't take yourselves too seriously and you're perfectly okay with being human. A great concert. I just couldn't stay past your speech, the telling of your own trials and the song you wrote because of it. There were at least a dozen young people I counted close to me. I'm sure there were more because I only saw one side of the seating. Your message will do much good for those young folks. I saw 9-10 year olds up to mid teens. Teen girls still dancing with their fathers ... which is awesome. You and your music makes a difference. Still, after all of these years. Thank you.

I was at this show, and this is the best performance of Illusion I've ever seen. It took on even more meaning after Ronan's words, I was in tears by the end. This is my favorite song, thank you for posting this.

I wish they didn't encore with the song that appeals to the lowest common denominator. People who listened to the radio and watched movies. I feel like bands should appeal to the most hardcore fans even if it's the royalties from this one song that pays a lot of bills.

Memories of another lifetime, having first heard this classic Kansas song when the Point of Know Return album was released in Fall of 1977, my first semester in college... hot on the heels of first seeing Kansas in August 1977 at Alpine Valley (opener: Todd Rundgren's Utopia), and then again in November '77 at the Milwaukee Mecca Arena (opener: Crawler). The start of a long and loyal fandom! Thanks for the much better recording you have than the one I shot from where I was sitting behind you (the "dancing" woman commandeered my whole screen)!

Jealous that you got to see Utopia in their prime! I didn’t see Kansas until 1982 and saw Todd Rundgren for the first time on the A Cappella tour in 1985!
