I bought this for my friend for his birthday as we just moved into a new house and he finally has room for a workshop. The bench was very easy to set up kzbin.infoUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh They center support is a little difficult to snap in and out of place at first but at least then we know the bench is secure. It was a pleasant surprise when we saw it came with clamps. I apparently missed that in the description. My friend loves the versatility of the bench. Great starter bench for his workshop and easily transportable all over our property. I wish the bench was a little taller but the other features of the bench more than make up for that.

I thought I had watched all his videos but I just stumbled across this one. I didn't realize he had 2 leg vices on that bench. Wow!

Hi, how are you? For some time I have rediscovered in Brazil the art of string puppets that here in northeastern Brazil we call "mamulengos". I hope to go to Prague soon to see her dolls and her art.

I like those benches but they are very hard to find. I suppose I could build one but I am concerned about getting the vises mounted properly.

These are awesome stuff! The woodwork plans here are very easy to read and understand [Google search>>> plus.google.com/+LarrySamford/posts/KcgzNKE47JS ]. With such plans I am certain to build lots of woodwork in a short time. I have been struggling for long with some works in the past, but now I have a very useful tool at hand.

All kinds of comments badmouthing a nailed joint. Even a perfectly fitted joint with rose head nails. I guess KZbin thinks a handmade box can only be made with dovetails.

Very Impressive. If you don't mind my asking, Is your linear bearing in the front of the leg or the back and how did you secure your steel rod to the chop. Thanks, Jim D.

The vise (I'm American, lol) is not only pleasing to the eye, but appears to be very solid in function. Thank you for sharing it with us, and thank you for choosing pleasant music as well.

Some guy on the woodwhisperers guild promotes linear bearings too. But another wood blogger in the US had problems with his and swapped it out for a criss-cross. Hmm.

I like the big ol wood screws...2-3 turns and your done. Hundreds of years led us to what we call a traditional bench...ill stick withnthat.

Inwonder how much he still likes having to use 2 handles every time the vise is used? Looks in efficient to me...not a fan of that tail vise either.

@justinsane3323 жыл бұрын
@@faheyplayer its actually supposed to by design, which is why it works well with tapered parts. the trick is to set your spacing by the workpiece with both sides, but then you can quickly take it out by loosening one. when you use it a lot, it isnt so wasteful as it may seem.
