… and then the truth came out. Horse-whipping to punish a horse and get it to follow your commands. Arrogance appears to have eroded Charlotte’s love for horses. The video shows she is adept at whipping the horse. It’s very distressing to watch. She has damaged the sport and ruined her own future due to her arrogance.

Basically, if your head is round, you're in good shape and there are lots of options. If your head is oval, give it up and find a new hobby. You'll never get a helmet that fits. Especially if your head is 64cm and oval.

Its really great to see the history of this company, I came across an old picture of me wearing a Chas Owen Helmet (as I believe they were then known) from 1978 which I bought at the earls court motorcycle show, that i believe the company regularly attended, as I saw them at least twice and was measured up for my first open face helmet personally by a gentleman who from the pictures was Walter Burek, though I don't remember any trace of an accent. Totally taken with the idea of owning a british made motorcycle helmet i bought a second full face helmet in shiny gold and with a leather lining by mail order. This helmet is somewhere in my mothers vast collection of stuff, and if I come across it I will happily donate it back to the company, should you want it of course! It was the best bike helmet available from the company I believe that they ever did. Just so you know the stand at earls court was something like 3x9 metres packed to the roof with all types of helmet and they sold off the stand which was staffed by the tall gentleman that I believe was Walter, and a lady/secretary with dark curly hair and a busy disposition! They were serious but very pleasant and efficient and you couldn't help but warm to them, which is probably why I bought the first one!

Very interesting. Just ordered the AYRBrush online. Hope it fits the same as the AYR8 as I've decided that's the best fitting hat I have found so far. I shall be a lot more careful with storage in future though. I generally leave in boot of car so I don't ever forget it, either lying loose or in hat bag but not zipped up! Oops! If I ride three times a week, one hour per lesson and say three hols in year with daily or half day rides over a few weeks, plus my head does sweat quite a lot regardless. How often would you advise replacing it ? Also, when you have a fall, if you don't actually hit your head on ground, ie a side fall and more on your body, how does this affect the hat ? I had a horse bolt in outdoor school with all weather surface. Flew off and landed mostly on hip area, very bad bruising and three months to recover. I don't think there was more than dust/scuff marks to the helmet and don't recall any head impact, would it still be safe to use. This was wearing another make with the dial adjustment system. Finally, what is Charles Owens thoughts regarding the dial adjustment system compared to traditional fittings ? I had one school that refused to let me ride in the dial system hat that I'd bought from another school I go too, plus a friend recently got a new hat where the yard owner agreed she wouldn't sell the dial system hats either. Seems strange if they are kitemarked and conform to existing rules etc. 🤔

When I first laid eyes on you and Pumpkin Gio together in the dressage ring in Tokyo, I was entranced. You were magical together! I never had a thought of his size until people mentioned it. I blew them off. You were absolutely right to choose him - you had your feeling - and you chose each other. I simply loved him. You were powerful, etherial, joyous together. Let no one change your mind ( like they could!) because he is not 18.2 hands tall. Give Pumpkin Gio a kiss from me? Best of luck and much happiness together !

Where can one go to find their helmet brand’s results?
@jaimepier8374
@jaimepier8374 3 жыл бұрын
the brand's website (not the seller's website) will usually have a safety, about, or FAQ page with the safety standards listed somewhere. I would guess UK sellers might have more safety information listed for helmets (since the base standards are higher) than U.S. sellers which usually only list the ASTM standard (since that's all that's required for U.S. helmets, even if the helmet is tested to something more rigorous)
