Hello Bryan, You aren't drying the resin, you are curing it with UV light, so no you cannot use a hair dryer. Therefore the kit is supplied with a UV curing lamp. If you don't tap the bullseye and continue with a repair, there may have been a "leg" (crack) about to start that you may not fully repair, and a crack may appear soon after your repair. Therefore it is recommended to tap the bullseye to determine if a crack appears. Using this method will ensure a solid bullseye repair.

We have had people tell us they use a lubricant and it helps. I personally have not used it but I don't see why it wouldn't hurt! I look forward to your feedback once you've used the cutting lubricant. Unfortunately I believe the Sika Slick is only available in North America but it is important that when using anything other than water, it must be approved by your urethane company, as the wrong product will contaminate the urethane bead, which will be detrimental to the urethane adhesion when re-installing the new glass.
