These 'breathy', sometimes 'whisper-like' elements she learned from Billie Holiday allows her to emote feeling in heartfelt ballad singing like no other artist I have ever experienced. Add in her low register mastery, that can then switch in an instant to angelic sounding high notes, and the result is simply mind boggling.

I really love this performance. Some how the audio & video are slightly out of sync, so it looks odd as her lip movement doesn't match the sound.
