I love when you guys share things about Vietnamese culture! I think it's just as important as learning the language! I only know a few Vietnamese people personally where I live, and they run a Vietnamese coffee shop that I like to go to. I will be sure to tell them "Chúc mừng năm mới" when I see them this weekend. I assume those three rules are so conflated with Vietnamese people and society that they prefer to follow them even in the normal situation. As I lived in Japan for a long time before settling in Hanoi, I can get why quite easily because Japan has the same things. (Btw, I was surprised the title popped up in Japanese, so I thought you might wrote it) Since I know this channel from 2017 or so, I want to say thank you for your constant uploading to help me and all VN learners improve VN skills. Interesting fact, in Vietnamese southern accent, bạt & bạc sounds the same, mạn and mạng also sound the same. But nhám and nhánh does not sound the same, and pháp and phách does not sound the same. So I reckon there are 8 (6+2) tones for northern accent, and 6 (5+1) for southern accent
