I do not. Maybe someone who was there can remember someday.

I've been to gay clubs from coast to coast since 1975 and 1470 was definitely in the top five best clubs ever.

This man has single handedly helped me through a trying time with his music. He got DOWNNNN!!!! And when i researched his life i was even more amazed and inspired. To sing like he does after going through the things he did is affirming. He's a church boy that was abused and shunned. He took his love for the Lord's music and let it ring through all of his secular music. He brought soul to disco.

He could absolutely sing, and was very popular whether you liked it or not!
@dimanigo12022 күн бұрын
He may not be your cup of tea but he can sing to the millions of lives he's touched with his voice. He brings a unique vibe that no one can duplicate. And he ruled the disco era with these very vocals. "Do you wanna funk?" Got me through some trying times at work. It would play everyday on the radio at work and it kept me from crashing out on people and my place of employment. You have every right to feel how you feel though. Again, he may not be your cup of tea but he's one of mine.

Just saw online that our dear sweet Babette (Robert Weidle) has passed away suddenly!! Very sad that another person from the days of 1470 West and beyond is now gone! Babette gotl married years ago to a gal and had and raised a family then went from drag performer to local plays and whatnot then found his true calling by playing Santa Claus for the past many years!! His laugh was infectious so I'm sure he brought so much joy to each and every child as Santa!! He was always the same person and always had a smile on his face and gave others a reason to smile!! He will truly be missed.. My condolences to not only his family and friends but to all the fans he entertained throughout his life!! Fly high dear Sister... MD

Work?? So taking other folks videos and copying them for the KZbin and fuzzy at best is work?? Ok Grrrrl!!! Lol It's Wall street night club!! I worked on the cast their and knew the stage well! The contest was Miss Gay Ohio Pageant.. I was in the audience. But you do you Mr DJ and keep grifting from others "work" and get those huge KZbin checks!!!! Hahaha #fuzzyatbest

Dwaine the song is "Dreams" by Grace Slick solo album! And Miss Kaynes tag line back then was "the illusion that causes confusion!" Bless your heart tho for sharing this video from Wall Street night club in Columbus Ohio.. was a great place to do and see drag shows!! Xoxo MD

Amanda and I have a very long history. I do know the moniker, but I always announced her as the confused illusion. Wall Street? I have the whole show and I don't think that is what the hostess announced. The label on the old vhs said something completely different. But I do find and do the work to save these.

My GOD I have been wondering for forty years if this would ever show up on KZbin. I was in this show!! As one of the nurses in the opener (with the now-infamous AIDS sign) and Judy's Harlettes in the Bette Midler number. Thanks for posting this and making an impossible dream come true! 🎉
