Great vid. Gives me ideas. Looking at how you opened them a bottom hinge with maybe a bifold would have been good.

Looks good mate. Those push-to-open rails can you go deeper with your sliding box or do you have to keep the same length as the runner?
@theyuppychippy16 күн бұрын
Cheers. Yes you can make the box deeper. Just bear in mind that if the box is 700mm deep and the rail is 600mm in length 100mm of the box will remain in the carcass once it’s fully opened 👍🏼

Hi mate just found your chanel, lovely job mate, what hinges do you use, and is there any adjustment on the drawer runners or push if needed, also it would be nice if you talk and explain what and how you are doing, keep those videos coming.

Hi - I used overlay hinges on this one. There is some adjustment on the runners but not a massive amount. I have started talking on later videos, check them out and see what you think. Cheers and Happy New Year 👍🏼

Do you not scribe it to the as well?
@theyuppychippy2 ай бұрын
Good question. There is a word missing. Floor? Did you mean floor? I’ll presume that you did correct me if I am wrong. I would scribe to a finished floor, however, this was a screed subfloor waiting for LVT to be fitted. The panel would be raised the thickness of the LVT off the floor so the LVT could be slid underneath for a neat finish. I use window packers to achieve this. Also, as there was another cabinet going next to this one so you would only see the front of the panel. Thanks 👍🏼

Hi mate i went for the same runners as you, after fitting them i go to push the drawers but jams half way under stairs is it because the runners are not aligned correctly. Had the runners off a few times now still no luck etc
@theyuppychippy2 ай бұрын
Yes I would say it is an alignment issue. Refit them rather than trying to adjust them is a better option in my experience 👍🏼

Why MDF? It’s gonna be ugly in 6 months tops. It always warps
@theyuppychippy3 ай бұрын
MDF because that was the client asked for. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you know that. And yes MDF, like all materials, can warp. However, once it’s sealed and protected this is highly unlikely to happen (hence MDF being used widely in furniture making globally). This is true in my experience as I haven’t had one warp in 17 years. Do yours warp?
@MrXeon133 ай бұрын
Just curious - why not replace the whole thing?

Hi, may i know if you add the front cover of the cabinet, how could it still push the slider inward to open? because if the front cover is bigger than the inner cover of the cabinet, it may blocked the push distance by the vertical supporting board?
@theyuppychippy6 ай бұрын
Hi - I use push to open drawer runners and door catches. These naturally create a small recess behind the frontal to allow function. Hope that helps 👍🏼
