Hello, I just pruchased the Wen 4750W today, Dec 2024 and it wasnt hard to put together. I did see the shipping " Red Brackets" need to come off. Also, I read on another video that if you are running this on propane, that you do not need to choke it, only with gas. Seems well built, my first time using this brand. It seems to be a very good generator and the price was great. Its also very quiet for a generator.. Easy to start and I am very happy with this unit. I will be buying a Gentent to protect it from rain and snow. Thank you for doing a nice video !!!!!!

I guess it's not necessary to remove the red brackets, but I did per the instructions. Never tried to start it without the choke using propane.. I may try that sometime. Glad you liked the video.

@@rvr2 Hello, it is important to remove them. Removing the red moving brackets is very important it allows the rubber vibration mounts to work, without, could cause issue with a broken mounts. Also, I stand corrected, when trying to start my generator on propane, I did need to use the choke. because without was much harder to start. Thank you

This has some pros and cons. I purchased one to negotiate a slow battery drainage on my car, where it loses about 0.1V per day. Meaning it will be completely empty in just a few short weeks. However… The remote part of the switch uses power as well! I am still unsure as to how much, for I haven’t installed ad tested it yet, but I do fear I might have purchased a fix that may be just as bad or even worse as the problem it was meant to solve… 😬 Ah well, it should at least help a little against theft and hopefully the power consumption turns out to be really, really low. One can always hope... 😇

Useless for anti theft, but great for people like me who only uses my car ( Honda C-RV ) once a week , and the battery is always down, especially in the winter. I only have to press three buttons on my entertainment / sat nav etc which takes about 10 seconds, so not a big problem, and my flat battery problem is solved.

Yes the pull start works on both fuel options, though it's much easier with the electric start.

If a thief pops the hood they can just override the kill switch with the on/off button on the kill switch?
@christophermcdonald188Ай бұрын
Well for my car the battery is in the trunk in the fender above the wheel well. So to get to that you cannot open the trunk with a key. So you’d have to open the car pop the seats down climb through a hole with a flashlight pop the side panel and fine the switch. It’s a little coupe so it’s not as easy as an older full size vehicle

I purchased this for a 2009 Corvette (not installed yet) which drains the battery even to the point where it cannot be recharged if not driven on a regular basis. So if it sits for 2 months this seems to be a solution. Then when it is time to recharge the battery should this be disconnected? Regards
@rvr23 ай бұрын
Yes, it should completely disconnect the circuit. I also use a solar trickle charger for my truck to keep my battery charge topped off.
