Very symbolic of west ham, they loved playing man utd at upton park, and for it to be your last game there must off been an amazing night for you people who went there. Part of east london was lost with upton park not being there anymore. West hams new stadium is totally souless, like arsenals Money people ruin sports.

Very fitting that west ham got to play man utd at home in there final game playing in upton park Very fitting it was man utd you had in your last game there and you beat them West ham you could always be sure would up there game against man utd, and the crowd at upton park would really get going for man utd games. I stopped watching arsenal in 2002, as arsenal decided to leave highbury Have not seen arsenal since, and never will again Highbury will always be what arsenal was for me, standing on the north bank as a kid For me, arsenal is dead, highbury is gone So i understand what these west ham fans feel like. Highbury went and so did my love for arsenal. So i know what you guys feel like, but off course for you it was west ham, and upton park. Your new ground will never replace the old stadium. Glad i will never watch arsenal again, no matter what they do. Arsenal for me, will always be highbury, remember my first game there paying £4 as a kid to stand on north bank So i know what you west ham fans feel like

A lot of pubs are closing because people can’t afford £5 or £6 a pint. It’s rip off. I used to drink in pubs until the prices got ridiculous. Now I brew my own beer. Even buying brewing kits at retail prices I can brew a pint for 65p and it’s much better quality than anything you buy in a pub. It will be costing the breweries even less than that as they are buying in bulk and 65p includes profit for the brewing kit manufacturer and the retailer. Yet pubs charge £5 or £6 a pint? Rip off.

That last bit about not progressing because you get the two bobbers , he was so right! Take me back. I hate that stadium, it will never be West Ham

Proper Londoners, salt of the earth. Same thing has happened in West London. My local used to be like this, had many great memories. It's now been turned into flats. Such a shame what has happened to London, but unfortunately Khan isn't interested and doing everything he can to ruin London.

London will never be the same from me again, The George was our second stop after visiting our Aunt's for tea, it was on the George for beers.

Really moving film which showed us once again what community really is and just how much we lose when special places like The George close down. Thank you for making this.

Younger crowds go to the gym & starfooks these days. Not realising pubs were a big part of community. Darts, pool, football teams 3 - 4 different groups of people getting together. Sadly missing in today’s society.

I've never been to England, but if I had, I would have loved to have come to this pub and talk about Dennis Bergkamp and that Arsenal era and just chat and laugh with these wonderful people. I hope they are well.

After watching this I am so happy I moved to Thailand 38 years ago! Table service and a bill at the finish is still the way it goes here! I miss nothing about the UK .

So many of the pubs that are left around that area have been colonised by middle-class 'hipster' types, sat around with earplugs in their ears looking at laptops and phones. The beer in such places is prohibitively expensive to anyone with a basic understanding of the value of money, (working class people.)

What a fantastic documentary and how sad to see the local pub at the heart of the community closing down,but sadly the rejigging of London and the removal of the local people because of the cost of housing and the city being repopulated by teetotallers putting it kindly and the so-called friends of the working class the Labour party.

Went in there near the end of my alcoholic drinking years, I was totally lost and at the dropping off point. Thank fuck I've been of the drink 🍻🍷 7 years, used to be like walking about in fucking a coma.

Shout out Islington, whitechappel, london fields, angel and brick lane. All areas of east londinium where I lived.

You can really feel the loss with this doc.. Amazingly well filed and edited.
