"Ladies and gentleman....the acoustic guitar..." - Michael Hedges. (doing a rendition of Buffalo Stance!)

Been mesmerised by this composition ever since it was uploaded to CandyRat back in 2008. It's the subtle things. I even love the string muting with forearm in the beginning. Michael Hedges would've loved this.

WTF, is he playing to an empty bar? Not a f*cling sound from the crowd?? What's wrong with people??? Oh wait, they were all probably too busy videoing on their cells, sigh. Punks.

I've been playing guitar for almost 50 years, I've seen and drooled over some of the most amazingly original & talented guitar players in music history . . . . . . and for the life of me, I simply cannot comprehend HOW Trevor is able to detune & retune FLAWLESSLY & AT TEMPO within a song LIVE. I sincerely believe this is possibly the most difficult playing I've ever witnessed.

That was incredible brother. Truly incredible. I’ve loved his music for a long time and was lucky enough to see him in the early 90’s but this is the first rendition that I’ve heard that truly did it justice.

Such an incredible version, Andy...very well done! I've been listening to Micheal Hedges since the early 90's...he would be so proud to see that you were able to pull this off so well.

I know the piece pretty well, and that was an EXCELLENT tribute to such an influential artist. Hedges like all great musicians who've left this world are not really dead, they have simply gone on to another place to play and let others in the universe enjoy their sounds! Loved it, and I thank you for it! RIP Michael Hedges.😊

I suspect we were of the same era and age, and to hear the 'Dark Side of Windham Hill', as one great pianist told me as I was trying to replicate his style, was a moment when the guitar became a different instrument. Well done for keeping his spirit alive; there are many I believe that will never forget what he introduced and >just try< to replicate his amazing talent. You have succeeded in capturing that talent and spirit - I am joyous in seeing your video tonight

Kudos to Andy for making sure that people understand the pure genius of Michael Hedges. Beautifully interpreted and played but (and I'm sure Andy would agree) it doesn't touch how Michael used to play it. Also worth noting is that Michael Hedges was a composer first and then a guitarist, and despite this his pickup and stage electronics setup was way ahead of its time. He used a Sunrise sound-hole pickup and a FRAPS under bridge pickup. He took the signal from each pickup and ran them through separate post processing - it was amazing in the 1980s and would still work beautifully today.
