New people don’t have a fucking clue. This man is outstanding, both in character, Christianity, and a blistering ability to shred Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carlos Santana, Robin Ford. God bless this man.

I have listed to this 3 times now not including the last show on his recent tour I attended. I am still digging it and think I like it better than the original SD recording.

Considering the A12t vs. A6t, can you play on stage without issues?? I'm pretty active on stage, a lot of moving/jumping etc...would you recommended one over another?
@MarkDamian Жыл бұрын
The more drivers the better. I’m an audio guy as well as a drummer so having 12 drivers offers the fidelity that makes me perform better. The sound is amazing!

In a fun twist, Skunk Baxter became a self-taught expert in missile defense systems and is now a sought-after consultant by high government officials in Washington. True story!

Skunk was super wild and crazy on the stage when he was younger, almost to the point of being annoying. He's settled down a lot since he got older but so have I.

WOW! I love Skunk and have since an older sister had "The Ultimate Spinach" his own band for he joined SD. Thought he was wasted in Doobie Brothers (boy that sounds a Cheech and Chong pun) but I was glad he had a nice payday after a lifetime of sublime jamming. I just watched a vid of SD performing this song in 1974 w/ Skunk on congas slapping like Tito Puente. Who knew? But I love this adaptation and am gonna look for his solo album. BTW, Al Kooper has some stories of when Skunk was in his band and they toured Japan in the 890s. Good thing the statute of limitations expired ;-) Al says they weren't as bad a Gene Simmons, which sounds like a pretty big 'get out of jail free' card but whatever. Apparently Skunk digs Japan! Cheers All, thanks for posting this....

Yes he is! I used to take a bunch of Jackson musicians (maybe even your Dad) out to Ann Arbor to see these guys on Monday nights at a place called Goodnight Gracie's. We all became friends over the years and they are all still really great human beings and humble too. Musicianship is superb! Loved Mark's playing for about 16yrs now! P.S....Someone tell Geddy and Alex! :)

Hi there, Cleanse released one record in 2006. Official members were myself (Mark Damian) and Ken Roberts. On this particular song I played drums and bass, Ken played piano, synths and sang the lead vocal, and the muted trumpet was performed by Alex Bongiorno. What is your Number 1 go to snare drum Live and a studio 🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶?
@MarkDamian2 жыл бұрын
Oh Anthony... there is NO short answer to that question! LOL As I said in the video the 6.5x14 Black Nickel Over Brass is the workhorse that can get you through a lot of gigs. But I do love the process of picking out the right snare for the job at hand. 8x14 BNOB for Josie Pace, 6.5 BNOB for Laith Al-Saadi, 7x14 Mahogany for Skunk Baxter... those are my consistent live gigs. Don't get me started on studio. I have 17 snare drums in my personal collection but won't hesitate to call a backline company for more options if I see fit. The short answer is... I'll pull the Brady Jarrah Block 6.5x14 or the DW 6.5x14 Copper off the shelf first and go from there. Thanks for the comment!
