A solid interview with great questions. I appreciate the thoughtful questions and not leaning on broad, macro questions and trying to squeeze out ticker symbols.

I'm curious for Jayant Bhandari said he is a big fan of Ayn Rand, but she pretty much doesn't quote IQ or any concept of general intelligence on his philosophy and I never understand why since americans already talked about IQ on television since the 70.

It is easier than ever to start a career in media, and that's why as a newcomer, you have more competition than ever. Rick doesn't see that, because he is established and outcompetes everybody else simply by making an appearance.
@TheCoveredCall17 күн бұрын
@derwaldbaer5707 True about the competition, however, we're also very new (only started 4 months ago) and we were able to level up to get Rick on. Things worth doing, are always hard. Best get started asap!

@derwaldbaer5707 That's why we're focusing on freedom rather than macro -economics or investing. Too crowded and in our minds, what is the point of making money anyway? To us, it's about creating ever bigger freedom in our own lives, and therefore, that's where we start. The product we are selling is ways to increase freedom in your own life. You can do that by listening and learning from the conversations we have with people that have already achieved something we have not yet. Jason and I looked like deers in the headlights a lot during this conversation. It felt like Rick schooled us - in the best way possible. Some of the answers he gives are so articulate and on point, that we couldn't help but bob our heads and were at a loss for words - haha! Overall, we hope we delivered an interesting interview and conversation with Rick. We are literally putting into practice what he taught us already about the service mind set. What was you favorite part of the video?
@jamesgoode924615 күн бұрын
Rick has had a lot of practice choosing the best words to use to get a point across. Congratulations -- You've been schooled by the best. My favorite part was actually the questions that y'all asked. They opened up some areas which I've not heard Rick discuss. Of course, Rick's answers still leaned heavily on natural resource investing, but the answers came with a different slant than normal for Rick.

From childhood on, there were people surrounding & influencing me, some family, some at work, who said and did things that didn’t make sense to me. Over the next 50-60 years I figured out the ones who didn’t make sense had things in common, they were ALL playing a “victim card” of one kind or another and they all told me, or implied, that it was MY problem for not understanding & offering compassion. When long form KZbin talks & podcasting came along the algorithms started offering suggestions for things I might like. I came across Jayant talking about the West vs The Rest. I find many parallels in his life experiences, & hearing his sometimes brutal observations helped convince me I was right about many things all along. I quit working for others at 50, to do something everybody told me doesn’t work. It’s not “scaleable” in business terms, just a successful hobby, but the peace of mind is great.

East asians have blade eyed vision..a very narrow approach unlike spherical vision approach of round eyed..eg:see chinese they get overexited and over build and get trapoed in their awe inventions

East Asians certainly lack something which is really heartbreaking. Had philosophy and innovation deeply implanted in east asians then we would have definitely reached type 1 civilization type by now. But unfortunately! 😢

Surprisingly, Sirs, Mr Bhandari has a very low opinion of the country which happens to be his country of birth. May be this is the reason he is a very sought after speaker in western countries like Somalian lady Ayaan Harsi Ali. Yes he is a great unconventional thinker which produces strong reactionary responses from the audience. But his views may be of a passing nature. He should certainly mellow down his views on india. All said and done he will always be identified as an Indian thinker and a successful entrepreneur.
@TheCoveredCall2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your thoughtful comment. We connected with him due to his personal "making of" story rather than his opinions on any one subject. We value Jayant because he speaks his own truth unabashedly, whether this is to anyone's taste or not.

No he's not sought after...Soros machinery don't like him.critiques like him is detrimental to core power center of west as ...it may help..degraded societies like india

He is no different. If he label 1.6 billion people with same hing then he is the same. If you talk to someone who went to India they will have the same view about India. But if they have ever been to mountain states or north east of India they will have totally different view.
