So what’s the answer to this question? Is what I’m hearing in this video acceptable for a condo or will the neighbors be sending the authorities over noise?
@mattlau
@mattlau 12 күн бұрын
Yes, this tone and volume is acceptable in a condo situation during the day. That said, if it's for condo use only, I would much use my Yamaha THR10 because that has a better "lower volume" tone.
@pjevans854
@pjevans854 11 күн бұрын
@@mattlau oh interesting, I don’t know anything about the Yamaha. Yep this would be primarily for condo use. My vox ac15 is beyond too loud. And I have an orange micro dark and micro crush which are fun, but they don’t have that sparkle that a fender would bring, which is what I’m after. But I can’t be blowing the windows out of this place. I was hoping to play the vibes champ low and still get that nice clean tone and breakup could come from my pedals as I’m not into the broken up fender sound so much.

@@pjevans854 The Vox AC15 is a great amp. My bandmates use it before and I use it in the studio, but at low volumes, you can't enjoy the amp. Check out the Yamaha THR10 for sure. I have a full review of the amp after 5 years of use and it's one of the best condo amps made. It has a tuner, effects, multiple channels for clean and distortion tones. It even has bass and acoustic simulations, so it's truly a versatile amp :)

Matt is spot on about THE most important aspect of deciding on the guitar: Playability! Pretty much everything else can be modified over time. I have returned dozens of guitars where THE NECK felt awkward to play or just a real struggle to form nice clean chords up and down the neck. Matt's overall perspective is VERY helpful. Thank you, friend!

Honestly I think the Ampero 2 stage is the best under 700, granted it comes with a separate footswitch but as someone who doesn’t often use wah or volume, the tones you can get from it plus it has Celestion IR captures right out the box

@@greenops master volume is placed after preamp and before power amp. So - it allows you to use hi gain of the preamp, but not power amp destortion will occur (Sorry for my english - but I hope you understand). Attenuator works AFTER power amp - so the power tubes can be cranced too. I don't know hom much destortion / saturation is made in power tubes...

Don’t not buy this electric scooter neither the flash 5.0 the reason is that me and my sis both got the gryocopter I got the 3.0 and she got the 5.0 3 2 months Later my scooter doesn’t turn on even I charged it for 5 hours so then I had to go throw it away. Literally. 2 weeks go by my sister 5.0 doesn’t turn on to we got emailed the company told them that your scooters don’t work and they said sorry there’s nothing we can do about it. ( if you want one get it off best buy they dint scam ) just got my Segway ninebot f40 and my sister got the hiboy from best buy so don’t don’t trust Amazon when buying electric scooters.

I agree. Playability is the one thing that is not worthwhile upgrading (work on the neck doesn't come cheap, so in this price range I am guessing it won't make sense). Anything else can be upgraded over time if you choose to.

If you pair a 1w tube amp with an inefficient speaker you can definitely push them without being too loud. There are also load boxes and built in attenuators on lots of amps these days. There are also solid state amps like Quilter which do a great job. Just not a fan of digital amps, I'd rather plug into the ipad at that point. The THR10 just doesn't sound very good to me personally and the effects are meh at best. If you like it, that's cool as taste is all subjective. I'd happily spend 3-5x the money and get something really great like a Tone King Gremlin or build a kit if that's too much cash. Budgets are of course highly individual.
@mattlau
@mattlau 3 ай бұрын
@@mooseymoose I looked into Quilter before, but that is over $1000, so it’s not really a fair comparison. THR10 for $300 is pretty solid value. For that price range, it’s better than the Fender and Marshall digital amps. All subjective, just got to play what you like.
