You “lock in the blue donut” with trim, not power. You power to maintain or regain desired path.

“Stabilize with trim” meaning setting the donut? If so, better.

I use the Hasselblad x1d 2 and x2d for the last 5 years. Once I got the Leica M11 i no longer use my Hasselblad system. Hassy is extraordinary but their lenses are too much clinical for my taste. No character like le Leica lenses provides.

Thank for sharing your experience. I am 71 yo photograph artist. I shoot with Leica since I was 16 yo starting with my father M3 film camera and his 50mm f1,4 Summilux and 35mm f1,4 Summilux silver ring. Now I use an M6 TTL with the same lenses and a M11 since it got in the market. I wish i would be with you to help your audience what Leica lenses are. You buy 1 Lens in your entire life and use it all your life. No need for other system.

I remember one night on a cat shot my AOA froze at a higher value than it actually was. Thinking I was near stall when actually I was far from it. No doubt AOA is great especially in spins but keep that attitude gyro in the scan also
@monsenrm4 ай бұрын
The only argument against AOA is if you really need it over just airspeed. I would love to know how much difference there is on Vref between a GA aircraft near maximum gross and nearly empty. I doubt it is 5 knots. Sure AOA is perfect but airspeed is also near perfect. A big jet or fighter will have dramatic differences because of fuel load or weapons.

See my video on AoA vs Airspeed in my AoA playlist. Huge difference.
@kenh71814 ай бұрын
No doubt, AoA is where it's at; it's a shame that more aircraft aren't equipped. I'm glad you were able to show some of the index symbology in real time. While the use of AoA in the F-18 certainly is a great illustration for those who are unfamiliar, encouraging a light single pilot to avoid a stall-horn touchdown because that practice is inappropriate for a Hornet carrier landing skews the great message you're sharing here and the utility of the indications. Are you suggesting that a pilot hold an AoA donut commensurate to 1.3 Vso all the way to touchdown?
@artistwithcameras4 ай бұрын
Absolutely it’s the most perfect and safest landing. They grease every single time and if you look in the Air man certification standards, the FAA publishes for private pilot it shows that.

My old ex-Navy SNJ5 had an interesting stall...the warning buffet and wing drop were simultaneous. I usually l flew short final at 1.1 and 3 pointed each time. Wheel landing tail up would burn up a few thousand feet of rwy.

Awesome combo. However, frankly speaking, any M camera will give you the same result. I bought a "mint" second hand M262 + Elmarit 28 + summilux 50 for $6000 and if I looked high and low, I can't find better discret choice for landscape, architecture, portraiture and street photographie.

Beauty of the M system! It operates the same as it has for half a century. So choosing a model is just down to what you need or don't, results will be good no matter what. I went with the m240 myself. Love that era of bodies.

It is a little ironic that I am watching this video while in Orlando shooting the theme park Christmas decorations and shows using an M11 and 35 APO. With 35 years of practice with an M, I don’t find the need for the EVF for most shooting, and you will become much quicker to where it doesn’t slow you down, but rather you focus on catching the right moment as the adjustments are all muscle memory. I hope the experience convinces you to add an M to your collection soon.

This is with out a doubt one of thee most warm hearted an thoughtful donations. All of the heroic ACTIONS that were performed by the locals to band together, amidst chaos, for the sake of survival were above and beyond admirable. Nobody had to make a phone call or take time to organize. Out of necessity, the people knew what part they could do to save WHOEVER they could and they just SHOWED UP. What a wonderful gift from these photographers to give something that is not a necessity of survival but that is every bit as valuable.
