Hey man, I was wandering if the train calculator could also be used on steam locomotives? I am wandering that just for the fact not all the axles are powered, and I have been using the weight on the drivers and the driver axles for it all, but I don't know if that is right.

I got a kick out of the youngster bouncing up and down when she sounded that beautiful whistle. Beautiful as always. That had to be one of the last 'Frontier Days" specials to Cheyenne, right? 😮

It’s been 30 years

That 87 year old man in 1991 would be born in 1904. That’s 20 years older than my grandmother who was born in 1924 and passed away in 2009 (1924-2009).

That 87 year old man was born in the Late 1890’s and early 1900’s, That’s older than The Greatest Generation. Because those baby boomers at the time were in their 20’s and 30’s at the time, and Gen X People were Teenagers in High School and the older millennials were infants and toddlers at the time.

This comes after 4449 was restored in 1974 being displayed at Oaks park along the boring branch.

This catch brings up 2 things railfans know. The 4014 being taken to Cheyenne with the diesels, and the 3985 taking 143 intermodal cars up this exact same hill! And I must mention how when the 3985 was coming up this hill with the 143 intermodal cars, a freight train went past it just like In this catch! Wow! Edit: omg I forgot to mention that the 4014 came up that hill in the exact same direction as the “hospital train” (yes the 3985 went on that same direction too)

damn dude i think this video has sold me on the vibrants. ive had my RT charger fora little over a year now and i finally want to get something done to the exhaust. i know a lot of people just delete the mids but ive heard it can be a bit too raspy and obnoxious. these vibrants sound exactly how i want them to sound. a bit louder but a much deeper throaty v8 grumble!! after i get this done i might do wheel and tires and a few more things too. thanks for the vid
