I hope there is never a forest fire there. It would sure be a terrible waste to see those tractors go up in smoke.

God bless America...!!! In the 1940s my grandfathers used donkeys for farming works, ox-drawn wooden plows for soil cultivation, and horses for grain harvesting...

@@ClassicGreenGirlreminds me of 60years ago when I would help grandpa spring clean the sheep barn. Hand load the spreader, then he would tell me, start up that Farmall 300 and go to the North field and find the edge of the previous spread, stop and engage the ground drive and empty the loader. Big stuff for a 14 yr old boy. Nice job on your vid. Beautiful place you have there. No mountains in Iowa.

You need real shelter for them, an enclosed insulated building. As moisture proof as you can make it. The rust takes hold before you know it

We have a model 33 JD spreader that`s PTO driven that we use on our farm with our Ford 8N`s. Very similar to this one.

Was that the smoke detector I heard? Love them old diesels. When I start the boat engines, it chases the mosquitoes away until we can get rolling. 😂 Good job!

Ok I gotta ask never had anything with a pony motor. Do you have to use this every time even if you shut it off for an hour or less?
@ClassicGreenGirl3 ай бұрын
Yes, you use it everytime you start. It's a process, but handy in colder climates to warm up the diesel engine without needing a block heater.

I've always been a New Holland man but those are some damn square bales LOL and as much as I bitch about the old two cylinder John Deere and how much I hate them, that is one good-looking tractor you got happen in there LOL hell I might even be convinced to run one again!!
@IanHotson3 ай бұрын
I have to admit I had to spend too much time on a two-cylinder John Deere to to have much love for them, however they did have some good ideas but I must tell you that is a beautiful tractor you have, and I'm quite sure you're very proud of it as you should be! The only time I ever had anything to do with a Pony engine start was on caterpillar equipment, anyway again a beautiful tractor you have

Nice collection, brings back memories from the 60's in northern Alberta. We used to leave the jam tin on the D exhaust to see how high it would fly when it started. Hey riding on steel wheels all day you had to get your fun where you could lol. Do you have tours in the summer?
@kendallwilliamson81936 ай бұрын
I,ve got an 830, green dash 820 and a 630. When starting the 830 and 820 I like to roll them over with no compression and no fuel till oil pressure builds for 10 seconds or more if it is the first start of the year. Also when shutting them down pull the decompression lever at the end and let them roll to a natural stop. Easier on the flywheel splines and you use the entire ring gear. 👍
