Bought me some 150 grain Core-Lokt and Power Points just so I would have some on hand for down in the deep woods. I tend to think 130 grain ammo isn't absolutely perfect for everything under all conditions. It can and does cause excess carcass damage often when ranges are short and the velocity is still very high. The slower 150s can reduce the potential for and the amount of excess carcass damage. Edit: Forgot that I also got some Power Shok 150s and had some Federal Premium loaded with 150 grain Nosler Partition too. I do believe a guy should have options for different applications. You can drastically change the terminal results with ammo changes in most cartridges.

I know this video is a little old, I hope you have a .270 by know. I'm a .270 fan. I bought my first .270 40years ago and still have it, and I just bought another one yesterday. I'm a 130 grain fan. I've shot deer from 10 yards to 400, and haven't lost a deer yet. I really believe the bullet weight is all preference. I can be in the woods and then step out into a pasture that's 500yds across. 130 gr has a little less recoil little bit more range and less bullet drop. Works great for my hunting conditions. Just try them all and see what you like. Good hunting. USMC.

How long is just the first weave two ten footers make 30 inch of that first weave ?

Your are totally wrong on all three. My triggers are all under 3 pounds will no creep whatsoever. I have barrels in 300 win mag and 350 Remington Magnum. They both will shoot under 1 inch groups all the time. All stainless guns will rust if you don't take care of them. Ive had Encores since they first came out in 1998 and Contenders for over 30 year's. Ive put probably over 1000 rounds in each barrel. Just don't overload what the manuals say. There is always a gap at the back of the barrel. Thats how its supposed to be.

Why not just cut an angle on the 4x4 to give it tilt? Isnt the weight now gonna be mostly on the corner of the 4x4 instead of across the whole end surface of the 4x4?

Back here again for another laugh or two. Since this video dropped I've watched a lot of .270 ammo tests. Even some cheap .270 Winchester Federal blue box in 130 tested incredibly well in ballistic gel. Fusion tended to do really good too. Expansion and penetration was premium class for sure.

Too much constant wind noise. I stopped watching 44 seconds into the video because would not NOT have been able to put up with that much wind noise for 32 minutes!

When you start a weave, it would be awesome if you did it long enough to let the pattern develop before moving on to the next step of the lanyard. It would be also be great if your large fingers were out of the way of each pass of the weave.

You mean, why do SOME hunters hate the 130 grain? The answer is simple. Reality dictates that it is either their gun, particular brand of ammo, and/or themself that sucks. The .270 130gn has been tested and proven for its accuracy and other performance throughout its LONG history. And for nearly the past 20 years I been using the 270 with 130 and 150 grain in a Mauser K98 that was rechambered for the 270. I have NOTHING but excellent results!

Just a heads up, you always wanna go about 3/4 next to the rib on the flat that way you won’t give the ridge cause roof

On your cross braces: if you put a carriage bolt through the “X” and bolt the 2x4’s together (you need a spacer between them) it stiffens them up tremendously. Also I use one bolt through those 4x4s to the frame from both sides

I have never EVER heard anyone say they hate the 130gr .270 Winchester round. Like the other guy below me said, you must be living in a reverse universe.....that doesn't believe in soap. Wash your fk'n hands!

There are 4 pens on it. That are different sizes. It only goes together one way. Once they are lined up. It fits together. After that. Secure the crank handle on. And hold it while you tighten the screw.

130 grain .270 bullet weight is almost never wrong even if it is maybe in theory less than perfect for some applications. It usually does kill game with authority even in situations where a heavier bullet for heavier than deer weight game might theoretically be more appropriate.
