Thanks! That is correct, it does have RNAV but I flew it mostly visual approach. There is a patch coming soon that will hopefully improve the pitch sensitivity on landing and the excessive trim.

And I never had a chance to fly in MD-11, but I’ve lived fairly close to PDX, Delta’s MD-11s were common sight in Portland 90s. It was quite a sight when they were on the final approach. The only tri-jets I flew on back in those days are 727, DC-10 and L-1011.

Yes, I have noticed that on some landings some of the engines do not go to reverse. If it's a bug hopefully it gets ironed out soon.

Thank you for your thumbs up! Yeah I try to minimize outside view while in the air. I know it can be jarring when you don't expect it. Besides it kind of ruins the immersion a little. If I go outside I do it quickly for a screenshot or two. Edit: just got an idea I can pause OBS recording while I take screenshots to avoid recording outside while flying.

Thank you! That's a hard question to answer and I would hate to say yes and for it not to live up to someone's expectations. I bought it when the collector's edition was offered but I hardly flew it until a few weeks before the public release because it had many issues as one would expect with such an early build. It is now a lot of fun to fly and I have a sweet spot for classic airliners like this. If you enjoy other planes such as the Maddog MD-80 from Leonardo then you would probably enjoy this plane. Currently, it has a few bugs that will be addressed soon however, in my opinion, the current issues do not stop me from having fun.

I share your opinion on the default ATC and Vatsim isn't for me personally. I think Beyond ATC is very worth it. It's improved a lot since it was released a few months ago. What I like about Beyond ATC is the automatic radio tuning and having my virtual flight officer do the talking as it's more realistic as I am the pilot flying. Also, the conditions around me are not conducive to using a microphone for now so I can use the selections given to me via the interface.

It was released today to the general public. Besides, I think most would prefer modern aircraft, which you generally see more of on KZbin because that attracts viewers. Nobody streams the Maddog MD80, for example, which I plan to show off more soon.

In my latest video last night, I disconnected the auto throttle and did it manual and the landing was allot better. Less than -200 FPM. All other videos before that including this video I used auto throttle.

Landing was so hard it lagged the game 😂

🤣 yeah it was hard. I did better in my most recent video but the lag on touchdown is an issue with my sim no matter how my landing is. I’ll have to investigate by clearing out my community folder.

I recommend a program called: "Flightsim Dispatch" if you want to see old time schedules. It has a plethora of AAL+MD-11 schedules for you to pick from.

Thank you for your comment! Even though I have had the plane for about 6 months, it has now come to a quality that is worthy of showing off in my opinion. It is fun to fly. Still has some bugs just like any other product so it will only get better.

Easier than the MD80

Pre-flight is definitely not as laborious as the Maddog as it has allot of automation, similar to the Airbus A300 I would say, even easier. Extended simulation (failures) is coming post release by the end of the year.

Thanks! I am using FSRealistic Pro. It adds allot to ground effects and bounces. You can use free trial for a week I think. It's currently on sale in the Just Flight website.

Touchdown main Movement = 42 Sound - Asphalt = Touchdown 1, volume 32 Touchdown front Movement = 33 Sound = Touchdown 13, volume 50 Reverse thrust Movement = 35 Sound - Reverse thrust 4, volume 75 For reference, my vertical speed on touchdown in this video was: 251 FPM

Thank you for your comment! I like to fly real world routes (old and current) and this is one I found that was quick and also picturesque. The simulator started giving me really bad frame rates near the end but I was able to finish the flight. :)
