There is very minimal FPS impact, even at large airports, compared to other traffic programs, including the default traffic. Beyond ATC also allows you to scale the traffic at any time, though it resets traffic if you change the density mid-session. The only downside compared to other traffic programs is that AI planes don't interact with jetways. However, if you ask me, the benefits far outweigh that minor drawback.

It's also one of my favorites. I am so glad it's working in 2024 because the new sim performs allot better for me especially in busy airports with Beyond ATC traffic cranked up to max. The only thing missing in the sim is vintage AI traffic, so the MD-82 won't look out of place. :)

Hate to address the elephant in the room, but I think the reason it's so criminally underlooked is because the MD-82 is simply hard to fly for most, and most people even among more hardcore simmers need automated and simple systems like what are on the A320 series to babysit them.

I agree. The same thing goes for the Boeing 727 from FlightSim Studio (which I will come back to once it's fully compatible and more stable in 2024). I like to fly older airliners (like the Bae 146, Fokker F28 and steam gauge GA) because they are more hands on. The MD-11 and A300-600 fall somewhere in the middle - they are older but were modern at that time.

I haven't experienced any missing sounds in this plane. However, I’ve read online that if you’re encountering this issue, you can delete the streaming cache files, and the plane will be re-downloaded. I also saw a comment from an Inibuilds developer mentioning not to expect loud engine sounds because Microsoft doesn’t allow first-party developers to exceed certain noise levels. It’s unfortunate, as I believe sounds can significantly impact immersion. I understand your frustration with 2024. Sometimes, it takes me multiple attempts to get a flight up and running.

Qatar flies their A330s on this route but I think they take their -300 variant and not the -200 which I guess I didn’t notice. Regarles, it’s still a real route which is what I only fly unless it’s a charter or repositioning flight. 🙂. Thanks for watching!

@@TheSimulationVoyager I´m on PC. I think it has to do with my phones, i have the sony xm4 and i heard that for bluetooth conections you can have this issues but if you connect with a cable it disappears. I will try to reset the stream cache folder anyway. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I generally dislike subscriptions of any kind unless there is no other choice. I am quite happy with the basic voices because premium ones can get expensive if there is a lot of traffic. I expect BATC to feature LLM (Large Language Model) soon, and when I get it, I plan to show it off. Hopefully, it will provide more variety to the communications and get off the "on rails" feeling a bit.

That’s a good question. Beyond ATC does follow airport operations according to wind but it needs to be added by the developer. I know most major airports have correct runways in use but not sure if KIAH is one of them. Soon we (the customers) can add more airport operations to be eventually be added officially for everyone to use.

I usually verify ATIS to see what runway is available(when available) and add that to Simbrief flight plan. I actually had two go arounds while arriving at KSFO, so that was cool.
