@Spyalwayswins I agree with you, I don’t think that live action and Ninjago mix very well. This video started out as potential new suits for the ninja, but once I saw the green-eyed Bruce Banner face, I couldn’t resist trying out the licensed heads. In order to avoid controversy, I just followed whichever race the voice actors are. Since Vincent Tong’s Asian, I used a medium tone for Kai and Nya (since she’s Kai’s sister). That said, I’m sure everyone has their own headcanon as to what race each specific ninja is, and it’s honestly not something that I spend that much time thinking about

I wanted to make these feel a lot different than the current minifigs, since I'm sure Universal's going to be taking some creative license as well (Look how different the previous Ninjago Movie's minifigs were to the show's). Good catch on Nya's hair! I accidentally grabbed Kate Bishop's hair before filming without realizing it. I chose that face for Wyldfyre because the scuffs and bandages seemed like something that Wyldfyre would have after her adventures with Kai (like her cast in DR S2 part 1), but you're right, I'm sure there's a crazier face out there that fits her better! I know that everyone has their own headcanons as to which races the different ninja are, so to avoid controversy I just (mostly) followed whichever races the English voice actors are. It's possible that Arin could be lighter, but I think everyone's interpretation is going to be a little bit different. I think Wu should keep the same beard styling in the movie too, but I also wanted to try out a different look for it (I'm not really sold on the Dumbledore/Gandalf beard for him, to be honest). My interpretation for Sora's arm is that she's just covering it with a sleeve on her suit (but also I hate taking minifig arms out of their sockets, which is why I don't change a lot of arms on my customs). @@SamsBrickLabAll good, man. Thx for replying. That definitely makes sense for Sora to cover her arm. Also, tbh TLNM/current designs really look like themselves, in retrospect. They definitely look older now. And Nya’s current design is a massive glow-up, tbh. I love the current designs a lot and think they very much so fit their show counterparts more than TLMN versions.

I do agree with everything you said except for Arin, he's very much intended to be as close as a racless yellow minifigure can be to black
