“I dug up from someone’s yard”…I picture you walking the neighborhood with a shovel everytime you say that. Love it ! Great low cost way of gathering plants …

I’m in a number of garden club and people know to give me a jingle if they need plants removed. I also do door knocks if I see a house that is about to be torn down lol. The sign is if they have a bin in their driveway. But yea, it’s a great way to get plants!

Your roses are gorgeous! I love the lilac colored roses. They remind me of the ones at my moms that grown in bunches. The. Petunias are Ahh-mazing!! Wow, I have never seen any like that. I love Petunias and I can always count on them here. The food garden is looking great too. Question: The bulbs that you overwinter- do you use leave them alone after they've bloomed or water them or what? I have a lot of bulbs this year that I bought in pots. I don't really want to plant them as I'm afraid the ground squirrels or other varmints will eat them. I always love to see what your garden is up to.

No, but this was a maintained camping/picnic area. From reading up on the history of it, it looks like the couple who volunteered to keep the paths cleared passed away.

I think that "azalea"-like plant is Labrador Tea, a common bog plant in our area
@TheMistakenGarden4 ай бұрын
You know what, now that I look your suggestion up online, I think you are correct. Labrador Tea is actually called Rhododendron groenlandicum, which is a type of rhodo. And it is edible! WOW! Thank you for commenting on the video. 🩷

Hi, what a beautiful area! I didn't know that Rhododenddrums were native plants. I've visited the Rhododendron State Park on Whidbey Island (just off Everett, WA south of you) They are huge also. The lake is so pretty, a perfect nature walk. It must look amazing when everything is in bloom! Too bad it isn't maintained, but nice to have the informative signs around.I always like to know what I'm looking at. Glad you found your way back, lol. Tfs 💖🌺🌺🌺
