I think the Go Go’s body of work wasn’t big enough. They made some poor decisions. Didn’t work hard enough. The creative juices declined with drugs. You have to strike when the embers are hot. Lets face it. An all girl band can’t play into their sixties. Only a few women can carry it off. The Joan Jett and Chrissie Hynde types.

This is one of Vacations greatest works. The new guitar solo is honestly ... As brilliant a rock n roll guitar solo as you'll get. It frustrates me when people call them simple. This song, first of all, has the most BRILLIANT, unconventional chord progressions you'll find in rock, but then the solo is its own genius creation. Honestly, Speeding is a 5 star, CLASSIC campy rock n roll wonder. Probably would have been a more successful single than GetUpAndGo. This is truly one of their greatest works of that era. Back in the day, singles were big money, and an unreleased bside would motivate owners of the album to still buy the single. Plus singles sold more so a satisfied single customer could motivate an album purchase, so Bsides were always your best foot forward. Surfing & Spying. Can'tStopTheWorld was WeGotTheBeat's BELOVED bside. BeatnikBeach, the other 5 star music mastery from the vacation sessions was vacations flipside and this was GetUpAndGos. GoodForGone demonstrated superior musicianship as HeadOverHeels bside and that 45 was a powerhouse of music excellence, between the singles piano and the Bsides blues/rockabilly guitar. Then ImWithYou complimented TurnToYous upbeat vibe and Mercenary for YesOrNo. If only BeneathTheBlueSky had been beside for ImTheOnlyOne. IRS should have made a proper video and given one last hard push with a top 10 single for that song. Am I still rambling?
