I got one. I like them. I tested that machine washable part, and I'm not sure what to think. Because it dumped a lot even on a gentle wash cycle I had a pretty big handful of lint to take out of the washing machine. For the price, it's still awesome, I'm just not sure I will put this through the washing machine again. But I probably will buy a couple more. It's impossible to beat the price.

Wish i had not bought this. The battery pack lid will not stay closed with the batteries in it. What a waste of money.

Long story incoming but: I had an alarm that looked just like this for a year & a half before it started false alarming repeatedly at random times. First time was about 1:30 AM the night the time changed recently & it went off for 10-20 minutes at a time a couple times before finally being quiet at 2:30 AM. After that it was flashing a green light 3 times every minute or so. Monthly smoke alarm test was the next day, i told maintenance about it while they did the test & they were gonna come look at it later.... well two hours later it started going off again. Called office to send maintenance (who took 2 more hours despite at least one of them being at the nearby maintenance building at least half that time). They came in, saw it was the 10 year one & just reset it like "you should be good now, i reset it" & left... it was quiet for all of 8-9 days after that & then just before 5 PM one night BEEPBEEPBEEP repeatedly again. Went off several times from 4:50-9:30 PM EST then was quiet until 1:30 AM when it went off another time or two before daylight. Called the office basically demanding it gets looked at again & hopefully replaced. Maintenance shows up about 30 mins later to replace it this time, having hella attitude about it & trying to claim odors (dog pee etc type stuff, even though my dog rarely pees on the floor & its immediately cleaned on the rare occasion she does) is setting it off so much cause they "had another resident with a similar issue"... they were literally acting like my house smelled horrible or something, yet anyone else thats been in here feels it doesn't smell nearly as bad as they're making it seem + they believe the alarm was either defective or dusty/dirty (it was installed on the ceiling i can't reach & guess how many times it was cleaned in that year & a half? 0)... I'm talking out of 11 days the alarm went off randomly 3-4 of them, some times for 10+ mins at once, sometimes it stopped before i could finish walking to it. probably went of 15-20+ times all together.

A AA ionization smoke and CO alarm with a voice compared to a 10-year battery photoelectric smoke alarm. That's not a fair comparison at all.

Does it work if you wind the other direction (over rather than under)? If so, may help keep tension on it while you wind.

A good rule of thumb for how much sunscreen to apply is to put two lines of it: one on your index and one on your middle finger, like you're putting ketchup on a hot dog. Line two fingers with sunscreen, then apply it to your face. To make sure you're protected, I would recommend applying at least three times as much as you did in the video in the future.

It's really not a fair comparison, a smoke detector to a carbon monoxide detector. What are the unit's names or model numbers? Kitty has a name for each of their detectors. Can you please give the names for Kidde.

I put in 4 new "ten year" First Alert detectors three years ago in my current home. Two have failed since then with bad battery indicators and the batteries are not replaceable. The new First Alerts are just trash; typical Chinese manufacturing quality.

Flipping 30 dollars product can’t even last 10years 🗑️
