Nyckelharpa is an european instrument, but, if you live in the United States, there is a Nyckelharpa American Society or something like that. You can easily find their contact. If they do not sell it, they must know who does it.

Looks easier than fingering the strings. I'd rather have valves than strings especially while bowing with the other hand

Also just caught your new upload - well done a second time!
As a fan of many hurdy-gurdy and mulatar performances, this instrument is blowing my mind. I bet it's hell to tune, but damn if it isn't the perfect mixture of complexity and simplicity. I look forward to hearing more.

Nice song, played lovely. And what's that instrument, seems like a mix between a violin and an accordion ^^

Sounds a lot like Sailor's Hornpipe, played at a slow tempo (to prioritize accuracy?) Poeta Magica are a Nordic band who play a bunch of these keyed fiddles and their leader Holger (The Holg) Funke works on them and sells them.

@@earthlightsmusic2743 This video is a practice video for people to learn the tune 😇 Sailor’s Hornpipe is probably another name for this tune!

Impressive. It reminds me the baroque/medieval themed movies such as Braveheart. 👏🏻👏🏻 I hope you will stay safe from the modern trends (such as remixing, anime cosplay, er###sm). God bless you and your art.

I thought this tune was Scottish, some say it's English and others say it's Irish but very nicely played, I used to play for Scottish country dancing on the accordion but age has slowed me down some.
