John was the most talented singer. His performances at Cowie Bowling Club in the 80's and 90's were legendary. Will never forget them, amazing talent xx

You should be so proud. Your papa had such an amazing talent. He should have been a global star. We were mesmerised by his fabulous voice in Cowie bowling club many years ago. Bus loads arrived from all over the area xx

Used to listen to John Doc every day growing up. My Dad,Billy Willis played his tapes endlesley. Now I am older I appreciate what a glorious voice John has.

Just wanted to thank you for these uploads mate. My grandad went to see John Doc countless times and became his friend, but I was never able to put a voice to this infamous name I'd heard so much about!

I miss Sydney so much i have not seen him perform for a few years i did go all the way from France to see Syd at the Pavilion so many good memories of Steak n kidney love him good to see hes still going strong where i have went his music came with to France Sweden and now Florida USA I miss him thanks for sharing
