Have damn near everything they ever made in every format (except 8-track)🙂

What an incredible video! Limelight is one of my fave tracks, and I knew it had the odd time signature tweak (as most of Rush does) but this was a real eye-opener. I'm on my fourth viewing and there's still tons I'm still working out, but what fun! More please...

Thank you!! So glad you're getting a lot out of it. Been thinking about what song to pick for my follow-up, but nothing's quite as juicy as this track, and maybe that's okay. I'll post an update soon.

I’m not even halfway through the video but this is literally one of the best breakdowns of a song I’ve ever seen. You’re chart layout are so easy to understand and I love how you use both tap and SN. Your personality shines through, the voice is good, and I love the little memes here and there. Adding snippets of live performances and studio performances is also great! This must’ve took a while to make! Subbed!

Thank you! Hope the second half lives up to the first 😅

@@ArmakkBro, I just checked your channel…the world needs more of this! A lot of channels have gone through the history of these older bands, but to also cover the chords, song formation, and some theory(even though you said you wouldn’t). This is simply a complete breakdown for the musicians. I salute you sir 🫡

Utterly fascinating! Thank you soooo much. Really amazing. I've played this song on guitar (probably poorly) for years and scarecely am aware of the time signature changes, I just play it as I hear it. The way you (and also Rick Beato in his brilliant video about this song) break it down and talk with knowledge and authority about the musical theory and notation is just unreal...I taught myself guitar and then learned the song from listening, trying, playing, watching some cheats then feeling the song...Rush talked about Moving Pictures having some feel and then putting more into Signals with use of Reggae and you CAN feel it playing it...banging out Hemispheres or Jacob's Ladder is great fun and is challenging but it is mathematical and precise...less feel, more accuracy...MP and Signals is much more feel and then beyond...ironic because the first 3 albums were all about Bluesy feel with some prog and jazzy outliers....such an amazing band...from first time I saw them in 1981 at Ingliston, totally hooked...Alex Lifeson is my absolute inspiration and, for me, the best guitarist, for me, to listen and learn to. Thanks for this video, really stellar stuff mate!!!

And if each band member gets credit for writing, then each one gets the same check from the record company. One of the things that broke the back of Credence Clearwater was the issue of writing credits and unequal compensation.
@Armakk2 ай бұрын
Indeed, it's broken up many bands, including The Police and Talking Heads. R.E.M. decided to split publishing equally early in their career and attribute their longevity to that decision.

Not a label I would use to describe what this trio has done for/to the music we can tap into.
