Looked it up myself, it was 151 kph and indeed a 15 meter span world record. That is terribly fast over 1000 km. Congrats! That JS-3 is fast!

In the US, sailplanes are called gliders by the FAA, and by many individuals. Pilots around the world who fly these aircraft speak different languages. In Germany, a sailplane is called a Segelflugzeug.
