@marionlinnenbankАй бұрын
Thank you for your question, you can start mixing one on one. Then you see if the paste needs more Gesso or it needs more powder. I love to work with a firm paste. Succes 😉

That is texture paste.

Hi what do you recommend using for smaller cracks?
@marionlinnenbank2 ай бұрын
A thin layer of crackle paste gives narrower cracks, and a thicker layer gives larger cracks. You can also choose DeoArt Crackle Glaze which is a transparent crackle paint. Succes.

No plaster, I used first clay to build up the texture and over the clay I used Powertex mixed with sand 😊

Hi, is it possible to paint over the powerwax cold wax? I added it to my painting and now want to add something to the painting.
@marionlinnenbank3 ай бұрын
I don't think it is easy to paint over the cold wax, but you can try it in thin layers of paint. But I think the wax repels the paint.
@FragilX3 ай бұрын
@@marionlinnenbank thanks, I was hoping that because this is water based unlike actual cold wax, that it might be stable, I might get away with it but thinking long term it might not be good. How about using oil paints over it, would that be doable?

It appears you used transparent crackle paste over the plaster which id not on you list of products used. So is it the crackle paste only that creates the cracks?

I've been looking for something like this. Thank you! You made two mixtures....the first, was that gesso and the 3d flex, what was the 3rd ingredient in the 2nd mixture besides gesso and the 3d flex? Which mixture gave the largest and which gave the smallest cracks? Thank you very much!
@marionlinnenbank4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your questions with the second mix a used some water. The thicker and tighter you bring on your crackle paste on your canvas the bigger your cracks become. You leave it to dry naturally. Success

Do you think it could work on a jewelry armoire? If I spat thick crackle paste on various areas not so close to each other. I want to use black as the canvas and silver on top maybe various types of silver with little splotches of white. The armoire isn’t going to have a lot of movement except the drawers and there’s no children to fool with it. What do think? Will the pieces fall off? Should I use a primer paint for the canvas?
