@@BenitoAmador-lk6vu so to remove it put it back in the oven for about 5 min or less you don’t want the glue too soft cuz it will make a mess and won’t completely come off and just warm enough to scrape it off with a flathead and keep cleaning the flathead so it dosent get stuck onto it good luck!

Hey nice work bringing this thing back from its bondo-filled past. Question for you: did you have any trouble sourcing the rocker panel? It seems many parts sites show the R panel as being discontinued and the L backordered (hopefully not to be discontinued).

Thanks for the support ! I never had trouble finding the part I just put the part number and it sent me to some sketchy sites that were Honda and Acura oem and i ended up going with one of those websites and even though they had them in stock they did message me that they didn’t have them and had to order from another company i still got my part. You should message the company that have them out of stock sometimes they can help you locate one hope this helps!

Hey man thanks for the video. I'm in the process of wanting to do this too. I bought cheap ebay ap2 headlights but want my ap1 projectors for better cutoff and brightness of course. Were you able to swap the internals to the cheap ones? If so, how was the process? Do you need to realigned the beam?

Yes I bought the cheap ones as well for an ap2 I plan on making a video on that process but from my understanding is you can swap the internals which was my plan while changing the amber marker for the jdm style clear one and once you remove insides you should have access to the beams to align them hope this helps thanks for watching!

@gabrieltowers3966 Жыл бұрын
So make sure you checked all you’re fuses for headlights taillights and DRL and cluster since it’s all connected first if you done that also check all you’re grounds on you’re headlights and taillights could be something as simple as that if not start switching bulbs around could be a short somewhere make sure wires aren’t chewed up let me know if you figure it out

I’ve had problems with taillights before and it was a ground problem on my Tacoma i would think that could be the same problem with you’re headlights but I’ve also had one bulb go bad and effect the other bulb on the other side and I just bought a new one and started working but if you already checked all that then has to be one of those 2 things

@@adriangutierrez2264 so it comes with a full set of lug nuts for the first adapter than the 2nd adapter where you’re wheel is gonna sit I had to buy new ones to fit the 2020 wheels I bought mine at my local oriellys you can also try junkyard but if I had to guess since you’re truck is a 2013 you should have those type of lug nuts as far as lug thread size I think most Tacomas run M12-1.50 just make sure when you buy the adapter it has that exact thread size let me know if you need a link to something 👍🏻

I got the same lift kit and added 235/70/16 tires. One thing I do notice is at 60-65mph, it does vibrate a bit more than the old set up. I'm still keeping it on a few months since for local drive, it's perfect. Another detail to note is that first gen tacomas are hub-centric while later models are lug-centric and when putting lug centric wheels on hub centric wheels, it will vibrate a bit more.
@theinfinitymachine9610 Жыл бұрын
I forgot one way to fix this is to get a hub centric ring. I got a OD 106mm to 78mm (which should fit to the spacer's size).

Awesome video! I’m the new owner of a base model 1998 Tacoma 5 lug 2WD that has been in my family. I’m using it as a work truck, but was wondering what is the performance difference from switching from 5 to 6 lug? What’s the max you can lift the truck without changing out the suspension system? Maybe I should have got a pre runner 😂
@gabrieltowers3966 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah the only reason I went base was for gas besides that definitely worth going pre runner this is more for looks than performance rides the same but with these spacers i wouldn’t dare going off-road or anything crazy does hold pretty good if you’re hauling something I think you can get 1inch before having to mess with suspension but that would be with cab spacers wouldn’t recommend that. the lift kit i installed is picked it up about a inch with the spaced that goes in the suspension and about 1.5 inches in the back I’m running the 33 inch tires all around good in the back rubs in the front with some pot holes so definitely go smaller tires I’m still running it with those tires it’s my daily haven’t had any problems with the adapters or the lift kit but not many options for our base 🙃
