Honestly, my brain immediately went to " I must use this to make a chainmail snake or lizard at some point." When I saw it.

I love this technique and hope I can perfect it. About halfway through it became very difficult to follow along. You were holding the rings pinched between your fingers so we couldn't see what it's supposed to look like and you didn't explain to us how and where to connect that last large ring.

Two weaves for the price of one! And Abstain is one I had a lot of difficulty with, you have made it so clear, thank you.

just and fyi the 20g sizing is wrong in the video you actually need 20g 9/64id for this weave to work

I can absolutely confirm that the rings I used for the 20AWG (0.8mm) bracelet was 1/8"(3.18mm)ID. I don't have 9/64"ID rings in Anodized Aluminium in 0.8mm wire, so there is no error on my end. If you did it in 9/64"(3.57mm)ID rings and are happy with it, then that is all good.

ah didn't realize you use AWG i see now you said in the video but having it also in the description and the graphic in the video with all the sizes would be helpful especially for viewers that might be hard of hearing and its easier to read the ring sizes

I've just finished this beautiful necklace!! while fiddling around, I also found that the center diamond-shaped pieces, if folded around a bead and held together at the top with a final set of the smaller rings, it creates a beautiful little cage for a captive bead. really beautiful design and I can't wait to wear!

Hi love this video.. I have a question.. I'm using 18swg for the large ring 5/16ID AR is 6.8 & 18swg for the small ring 3/16ID AR is 4.0 This is the sizes on my bag that says to use for Helm Weave ..It came out nice . . But how do I know what ring size to use in the sizes you are using ? thanks Lois

Hi There, glad you enjoyed the video. I am sorry though, I am not sure what you are asking. My sizes are just suggestions, if you found something else that works for you that is great. Otherwise all my suggested sizes are listed in the description under the video.

The gauges are listed in AWG.....it works in the sizes I listed using my rings, I can't guarantee anyone else's rings.

Hi there, I know this is an old video, so I hope you’re still able to reply? I’ve recently started making chainmaile and absolutely love your tutorials as they are so clear to follow! I’m just wondering if I would be permitted to make some of these designs and sell them at craft fayres? I would of course source the design. Best wishes. Jan
